This is an excellent park for running. There are nice bathrooms at the parking. The path goes in one direction out-and-back 3.5 miles, and you can run about .5 mile to the adjoining Heritage Park, which has a mile loop.

My husband and I have been here a number of times. Great place for riding a bike or walking. Mostly flat surface. Kid and dog friendly and a clean park.
Canton offers a few nice parks. Some I would rather have someone with me but Etowah River Park pretty open and I feel safe walking alone. It’s very nice.

This is a very dog friendly walk. It is now connected with Heritage Park which is also dog friendly so it's a good 2.5 mile loop. Nice small walk through woods connects parks. All concrete walks!

I like when a place has ample free parking. They have a bathroom facility instead of porta-johns. And a nice area for kids to play on jungle gyms etc. In addition to walking trails. Very pretty in the fall. Nice leaves around. They have picnic tables and what looks like a stage and a lawn for concerts / events. While there's no street number with this listing, for GPS I used 220 Brown Industrial Pkwy for the address of the Driver Services of GA bldg on the same street and just kept going past it to where the road dead ends right into the park entrance. Easy to find.

This is a large park spanning 5 miles. It offers a variety of activities. It's well maintained with a childrens play area. I recommend it.

Park is great except when it is rainy! Very food prone!! The athletic fields are often saturated! Wish this park had a fenced in dog area though!

Great running trails (cement not dirt). 5ks often done here. Good parking. Two parks connect. One near YMCA.

The park is usually very clean and large enough for walkers and bikers. I gave it only 4 stars because the canoe launch area is filled with mud, very unpleasant. Not a easy place to launch a canoe. The mud is so deep your feet actually sinks into the mud.
The actual park is fun but be cautious of all the soccer players, we have caught them urinating near the back trees. Not a very pleasant sight.

How far out does the Etowah River Park trail go at Canton GA in the direction of the interstate? Does it go under I515 or I575? Does it dead end and you turn and go back to the parking lot? Is it 3.5 miles round trip?

going to a concert there what are you allowed to bring in?

Where specifically is the amphitheater located? We were at the park yesterday and did not notice one.
Written May 11, 2019
It is right when you go in toward the right, it has an artistic look and grass seating so you may not have thought of it as a designated amphitheater. I

What is the aerial park that's coming that is advertised on the sign entering in a etowah river park
Written April 23, 2018
I am not sure. I haven't been down there in a while nor have I heard of it. I would imagine it would be a specific place to fly kites or RCVs (planes)

How long is the walking trail if you make the loop including heritage park?
Written February 17, 2018
The trail at Heritage is .8 miles the loop at Etowah river is .5 the distance between is roughly .5. We generally run from the parking.lot to heritage, do 2 loops there and come back for another lap to the bridge for 3.1.
