Excellent trails for Mountain Biking and Running
Mar 2019
I frequently Bike and Trail Run at Blankets Creek. The volunteers that take care of the trail here are really fantastic, quick to take care of felled trees and washouts. So I always abide by the trail open/close status so as to preserve their hard work. Van Michael's trail is great for working on your climbs, Dwelling is long rolling hills - not too aggressive, and South Loop is a substantial technical challenge with the most rocks & roots of the 3 big trails. There are proper restrooms on site next to the parking lot as well.

This trail is amazing! Always taken care of and has many different trails to take. Have been so many times and will continue to go for as long as I live near it! Great for bikes and hiking 💕

Blankets Creek

This is the most Amazing walking running trail l know it’s mostly bikes but it’s a favorite hiking place for me. It’s shady passes by the lake some flat some hilly windy paths. Suitable for all fitness levels and the restrooms are very clean. Tons of parking dog friendly kid friendly just hate when it closes due to too much rain.

Too crowded on weekends!
Oct 2019 • Family
It’s a great park for mountain biking....on weekdays. On weekends, there are times when I’ve started my ride only to turn right back around and go elsewhere. I haven’t used it as a place to hike, but I see hikers there, too. I’m pretty sure a lot of them get tired of moving aside for all the bikers!
There are a couple of short but nice beginner trails, with the 4 mile long intermediate loop being fantastic single track with roots, rocks, and some tight turns. What I’ve enjoyed most is stopping about halfway through by the lake, ditching my bike a few feet off the trail and taking a quick swim in Lake Allatoona—in my swimsuit I wear under my cycling clothes!
It’s a 5 star place when it isn’t crowded, but otherwise, it is so crowded on weekends, its not worth going to (unless the weather is bad).

All skill levels can find something to enjoy. Scenic lake views, fun creek crossings. The parking was ample and bathrooms were clean.

Blankets Creek bike trail, Sixes Rd, Canton,GA

This trail is mostly used by folks looking for adventure riding through the woods on bikes. It’s quite difficult on the longest trail but fun and a real workout. I wouldn’t dream of riding it but I do walk it, also a great workout and beautiful. Walkers and bikes travel in opposite directions, weekends are crazy busy with bikes so I don’t go on weekends. From the parking lot to the long trail and back is slightly more than 5 miles. The trail closes at dark and is closed when it’s really wet out. It’s very hilly andnarrow in many spots. Sometimes you will see a lot of deer, as always watch for snakes though I have yet to see any.

Rode my bike with family, different levels of trails. Saw a few walkers on the trails. Just a great place to spend time outdoors.

Good variety of trails for bikers and runners. Plenty of parking, but can get a little crowded on weekends. Easy access for those driving from distance.

Hiking

These trails were great to hike through even though it is targeted more for mountain biking. The only problem I had being there for the first time was getting lost along the trails. I had to download the map to find my way out of there.
I did enjoy the wildlife along the way though.

Whether you ride a bike or walk this is a great place to spent an hour or more. Plenty of parking usually and just easy access off of I-575 and Sixes Road.
