Forsyth County has some of the best parks in the country. Lake Lanier is so serene and comforting that a walk on the trails is better than a tranquilizer

Beautiful view of the Chattahoochee River at Buford Dam. Picnic areas available, but gets very busy in the summer months. Fly fishing is popular here, and hiking.

You can park in the parking lots and walk near the dam. There isn’t a lot of boat traffic

Can I park on top of the damn in a parking spot. And set there and eat dinner out of the back of my truck and watch the sunset go down. ?
