We enjoyed visiting the lake for 4th of July 2020. We arrived around 5 pm. The parking lot was full, but they allow us to park in the entrance road. Short walking distance to the lake beach. The beach was clean and they have clean bathrooms. Also a little store selling ice cream, drinks and snacks. Also they rented equipment. At dawn we moved to the boat loading to watch the fireworks from the other side of the lake. A perfect evening!

This camp site is gorgeous! The camp ground is clean and the staff is so kind. They brought me my wood and ice. I am an avid camper and I’ve never had any campground do this. the staff member who brought the ice, he even helped me start my fire and was so helpful to provide information on nearby activities! I rented the paddle board and the prices were so reasonable, let me tell you this camp ground is perfect for kayaking or paddle boarding! I went over my time for the rental on accident and the lady at the store was so understanding. I normally go to Vogel annually and love it but I have to say Morganton point recreation is my new go to destination for camping. If you are looking for fun and relaxation in a family friendly environment I highly recommend this camp ground!

It seems so hard to find a beautiful public beach to enjoy in North Georgia, but I am glad we found this one. The scenery cannot be beat. The water is very clear and the swimming area is quite large. However, the beach itself is pretty rocky, not like a sandy beach where kids can really dig and build all day, although you can make it work to some extent. I recommend wearing some kind of water shoes to make it easier on the feet. A parking fee of $5 CASH is required. There are bathrooms, changing stalls, picnic tables, and a snack shop with tube rentals that looks to be open on weekends.

Back at Morganton Point again and this time we brought kayaks for the kids to cruise around and explore which was a great addition. You could see their excitement and enjoyment as they pushed off the shore for a couple hour expedition.

The swimming is always great. Cool, crisp lake water with beautiful mountain views, plus showers, changing rooms and bathrooms on site to clean up before leaving.

Remember to wear shoes because the beach area and lake bottom are a little bit rocky so bare feet might be uncomfortable.

Nice place to enjoy the lake! The little store at the day-use area sells sodas, ice cream treats, souvenirs. You can rent paddle boards & kayaks. They have tubes and floats available for purchase (about $20 each) but they will blow them up for you. We brought fishing poles. Made for a nice afternoon in Blue Ridge.

My family and I came on the 4th of July weekend. It was clean, wasnt overcrowded, and the water and view were beautiful! The waterline and in the water is very rocky, recommend water shoes or at least flip flops to/in the water. Don't forget a float, as they are a bit expensive at the little shop near the beach.

This is a nice place to go if you want a little beach and lake time. They have kayak and paddle board rentals for a reasonable price. The lake is beautiful. Plenty of room to socially distance.

This place is gem! My family and I booked 3 nights and did not want to leave. Robert and the staff were outstanding! Super friendly, and always checked on our site even when we were not there. I felt very comfortable here and would highly recommend this campsite. We will be back for sure. Oh yeah! Their restrooms are the cleanest at a campground that I’ve ever been to.

This is a quick drive from downtown Blue Ridge. The facilities are very clean and convenient. Lots of parking. Many picnic tables all in various places and well placed and shaded. The kayak rental place is awesome, little store and the employees are very helpful. The water in lake blue ridge is fantastic and clear. The swim area is well marked. The camping areas looked fabulous, next time we will camp there. My only reason for not 5 star is that they indicate on website hiking but there are not really any hiking trails. There is one trail that is maybe 0.8 miles total but that goes thru the camping area... so wish they would add more hiking trails. Anyhow it is worth for camping and / or day use for picnic and kayaking. Would return for sure.

It was nice but its a small lake beach so there wasn't a lot of sand or space. Get 30 people on it and it fills up. It was good to get to a beach and the water and near Blue Ridge, its the best you can get. We would go back but not with the crowd.
