This experience was the favorite part of our trip to Blue Ridge for all three of our kids! Our two youngest barely made weigh in at 70 lbs for the one hour trip, but those little guys were first in line to zip through the tree tops. Matt and Colton were fun and supportive, especially to the more nervous participants in our group of 10. This was the first zip line experience for our family of 5 and we were able to schedule calling the day before. The cost was a little steep, but it was a HUGE hit for everyone.

It was my first time zip lining with my 69 year old mother in law. She had a little trouble hiking up a little trail to get to our first spot but Grant was super kind and patient with us. Both of our tour guides, Grant and Vick, made the experience safe and really fun. I’d definitely do it again! My favorite part was when Grant told us to make sure to look at the blue ridge mountains view, and when he was zip lining down, he pointed at the mountain to let us know when to look. I don’t know, you had to be there, because I thought that was hilarious. Overall, I highly recommend zip lining and make sure you request Grant and Vick. You’ll laugh a lot and you’ll feel safe and comfortable the whole time.

We had a great time with Matt and Colton. We had a few first timers who were a little nervous but these guys made it fun, informative and most importantly had patience with the younger one’s. Wendy from the front desk went above and beyond with her customer service over the phone making sure she could accommodate our last minute reservation. We really appreciate everything these guys did to make sure my family had an awesome experience while visiting Blue Ridge. I will highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a fun outdoor adventure in the area. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We unfortunately got a flat tire on our way to our tour and notified the office that we would not be able to make it to the 1:15PM, but would like to move it to the 2:15PM or anytime they had after that and we could be flexible. We were falsely told that they did not have any room on the 2:15PM tour or any tour after 1:15PM that they would have to call in a second guide to just tour our family so there would be a $20 per person change fee. As a business owner myself I understood having to bring in additional staff and the cost associated which $80 for 1 hour was still a pretty aggressive amount, but really I was paying to be privately toured so we agreed to the fee. When we showed up we were put on the 2:15PM tour which already had 4 other people and the 2 guides that were there said they had been there all day long & they actually had a 3:15PM tour as well.
I emailed and requested a refund given the information was inaccurate & the circumstances were out of our control. I received an extremely rude email back from the management saying that they did not care that we were repeat clients. Furthermore, that they were do big and established that 1 bad review would not hurt them. I believe in customer service above all else & even though we are just 1 customer which they do not seem to feel is an issue. We will not be returning to either of their locations in the future.

The area around the office is absolutely gorgeous, that alone is worth the visit. You sign a waiver when you arrive (get there early!) Then you are suited up and walk up a very steep hill to get more instruction. The first 2 zips are "practice " where you zip to a canopy and back to a stair platform. If you want out that's your only chance. The next canopy the tree shakes, and scared all 10-13 people on it. One thing I did like, you are always attached to a line when transferring off zip to tree. Some of the zips go as fast as 36mph, which was NOT enjoyable for me, mainly because you are given big thick gloves to brake with. You lay (not hold) left hand over zip attachment then right hand over left, to brake you place your right on actual zipline behind your head to slow down. I struggled severely with this and for some reason my harness kept twisting making it hard for me to brake. My helmet also kept rubbing the zipline which was freaky. My husband who is 6'5 said his head did not rub. ??? I have been zipping before and loved it but I didn't this time. I don't understand why they don't use better breaking system and have something towards end of line to slow you. I was not the only one who came in hot. One came in so hot it knocked guide of when he had to catch rope. But every is attached so all good, guides need a way to communicate with each other and the office. My husband enjoyed it and said he would do it again, it pains me to say it, I will pass. I really would say 12 and up on age. After the hour tour you take a very fast zip down to office, two hour tour stays on canopy and continues zip. I say this, because that is the ONLY way down on course that I saw. Everyone else in our tour did fine for the most part and seem to enjoy it. ..and as you can see from other reviews, I am the odd guy out. You can take phone but I could see it being a huge distraction. I took my glove off to get a tissue and dropped it, luckily it landed on the platform.

We had scheduled an hour zipline tour with this organization for 10/16/22 for 1:15pm. We were on route when we experienced a flat tire. We called over an hour from the tour start time letting them know our situation and asking if we could reschedule to the 2:15 tour. They said there would be a $20 per person reschedule fee b/c they had to call in guides and basically provide us with a private tour as there "was not a 2:15 tour". We showed up and paid the fee only to learn that the guides were not called in, had been there all day, five other people were on the 2:15 tour and there was another tour scheduled after ours. When we emailed about the situation, we received a response telling us we should express thanks to them for allowing us to reschedule and happily pay the additional $80.
The following is an excerpt from their response: "It is unfortunate that there is no gratitude for the courtesy offered, but rather a negative response regarding the rescheduling fee..."
I would highly recommend using another organization if you want to Zipline this area. If not, buyer beware!

My husband and I have zip lined all over the world - including from Portugal to Spain, Asia, Central America, etc. This is the very first time that I have been apprehensive based on the guides and equipment.
I came within an inch of pulling out. The guides need to read the crowd better! There were at least 4 very apprehensive people out of 11 in our group - then I became the 5th. They would joke, "remember this or you'll slice your finger off/die/lose a limb" or, my favorite "stop yourself before you get to the deck because if you hit us with your body, we'll just push you back out there on the wire."
This activity is very safe compared to most things we do on vacation. But, all over the entire world the guides have never tried to joke or use baseless fear tactics to get a point across. It wasn't appreciated by either of the groups that blended into ours for the day.
Just give the safety instructions in a straightforward manner. Then let everybody have fun.
Oh, and also....this is the very first zip line anywhere in the entire world I've done where not one platform line has an automatic slowing system as you reach the platform. They joke - if you hit us we'll push you back out....well, it's ridiculous because you can push a guide over if they miscalculate when to tell you to slow down yourself.
The constant mantra is, "Trust me, I know what I'm doing." Um....not after the flippant remarks and joking leading up to starting the lines.

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 older teens) were in Blue Ridge for vacation. We booked the 2 hour tour at Zipline Canopy Tours of Blue Ridge. It was an incredible time even with my (the Dad of the group) hesitancy about heights. The orientation and safety training by guides Paul and Lucas prior to ascending the first tower was comprehensive and organized. Once up the tower, Paul and Lucas continued to talk the whole group through each zip and sky bridge. My hesitancy disappeared after the first zip giving way to a very fun time. My wife and teens thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well. The property is just amazing. Beautiful views from the zips, clean grounds, clean bathrooms, and an attractive and well built central building (lodge look and feel) confirm that the owners are serious about their operation. I can't say enough good things about Paul and Lucas. They enjoy what they do and it is evident. A little comedic banter back and forth between the two brought laughs and smiles. I highly recommend them as guides.

My college girlfriends and I took our annual trip to Blue Ridge this year and decided to go on a zip lining adventure. It definitely did not disappoint and was the highlight of our weekend. The fall scenery and weather was just perfect for zipping through the trees. Though I don’t think our experience would have been half as good without our awesome guides Lucas and Nathan. Not only did we feel safe and secure that they could rescue us damsels should we get in distress but also kept us thoroughly entertained (I suspect the feeling was mutual there)! Thanks again Lucas and Nathan for such a wonderful experience! We hope to zip with you again in the future!

My teenage daughter and her friend did the 2-hour tour. They LOVED it! We arrived 15 minutes early. The drive was pretty! The “office” is gorgeous with a view of a babbling brook. Check-in was easy. Safety equipment was straight forward and the instructional session “prepared us completely”, according to the girls. “GRANT was hilarious and totally awesome” and “SARAH was amazing”. They had a great peer group as well. Both said it was totally worth $100, they would give it 5 stars and do it again in a second.

Their website has prices in the 80-90 dollar range. We got a much better deal when we bundled the zipline with rafting.
Are you open in March?

It was the two full hours, maybe more because of the group size and the fact that we were all newbies.
We actually scheduled the tours on different days because we had a big group and were concerned about delays. We wound up being delayed for zip lining about 45 min because of rain.. so although it’s not impossible to make it to both places in one day, you’ll definitely want to have as much time in between as possible.
Also, our delays then caused the group after us to be delayed, just to give you a little more insight. It’s very fun though. Enjoy!

Are you guys open in October? Planing a trip mid October 2018.
What is the required age for children to do the zip line, tandem of course with their parent?
Is there a weigh limit?
John M

Yes 250 is the stated limit. The cable holders 2500 lbs yes 2500 lbs. The reason for the limit is do to the fact you go faster if you weigh more. They did allow me to go and I was over the limit and I told them that, but as I had good upper body strength they saw I could stop myself and it was a blast. One of the best things I have done in years.

Yes, you can see mountains during some of the zips. Like dsazimm said, it is "in the woods," however, many of the zips have terrific views. If you are planning on doing this, I highly recommend the longer tour!
