We booked a 2 hour zip line trip for four today. We have two teenage boys and wanted to do something fun while in town. When we arrived the directions from the host were perfect. We had a little wait and just enjoyed the grounds and views. We highly recommend the 2 hour trip, it includes the longest, fastest and most fun lines. I'm a little bit of a chicken but was able to settle in and have a great time! Casey (one of our guides) was hilarious. He had new one or two liner of jokes ready prior to each launch. Avery also told us a number of stories and between the two of them, they had us laughing between each line. They were very safe and after their instructions we felt ready to tackle the course. They could tell I was a little nervous but their personalities really took the edge off. Don't miss this adventure. I can't decide who I liked more, the outgoing, goofy Casey or the steady and experienced Avery! Either way, can't go wrong. Look forward to seeing Avery again on Sunday for white water rafting. Thanks guys! What a fun day!

Great ziplining experience with Chris and Dalton as our guides. They kept us all safe and well informed, but still made us laugh with lots of jokes. We did a 2-hr tour which included 13 zips. The best ones are towards the end so definitely would recommend the longer tour if you already know that you like ziplining. Everything was very safe, with multiple tethers, but standing on the platforms without rails definitely made you realize how high up you were and added to the excitement. They do not require masks, and no one wore them on our trip. The groups are 10 people max - ours was 8 people and felt a little crowded. They fill trips as people sign up so more tours may open later in the day (we called on the same day and joined 12:45 tour). They also take pictures for sale (but not during actual zipling - or at least I did not see those).

The views were stunning and we enjoyed the hanging bridges and the amount of zip lines. While they use very secure harnesses, they don’t seem to use a standard fail safe clip system, relying instead on guides having to clip and unclip participants. They also didn’t use radio/walkie talkie systems to signal when it would be safe for the next participant to go on a line. While the guides equipped all participants with gloves and helmets and provided instruction and two practice runs prior to heading onto the real part of the course, they themselves were not wearing helmets or gloves on both hands. They also often did stunts and things they had specifically instructed participants not to do. It would be safer if the guides modeled the appropriate safety behavior by wearing the necessary equipment and going down the lines the instructed way. The stopping mechanism at the end of the runs is not adequate to prevent injury. We saw many participants come in too fast and crash into the wooden steps on the platforms. I sustained a minor left wrist injury coming in too fast because the slowing signals were not properly given. In terms of the equipment provided, we feel the gloves were not adequate. We have been ziplining before and have used gloves that are specifically designed for braking and controlling your direction. Lastly, we feel that the guides and other participants should have been wearing masks. On most perches, we were very crowded together and there was no possibility for safe social distancing. We look forward to returning to this course and hope to be able to give it a 5 star rating next time.

As of the last week of July, this place took ZERO precautions against COVID-19, except for one bottle of hand sanitizer in the deck area. None of the employees wore masks and they even seemed bemused when we asked about their mask policy. Most of the clientele did not wear masks either. Social distancing is not possible when you are crowded onto the platform with the other riders and the guides.
Was it fun? Yes, and the place is nicely put together. I would not, however, recommend for anyone concerned about their health. I hope that the management changes its mind and takes this crisis seriously (like a number of other places that we visited while in Blue Ridge).

Families beware: no mechanized brakes!
Although we didn't find it anywhere on their website, once on the course we surprisingly discovered that their equipment has no mechanism for braking--except by using your gloved hand to basically grab the cable as you zip speedily toward an elevated immovable platform, where success is dependent upon accurately judging speed/distance (aided by a guide's hand signal) and applying the right amount of overhead arm strength not too soon and not too late but at just the right moment. Sound like something safe and fun for young teen novices? Not for mine.
And the startling equipment deficit was compounded by a smart aleck guide who seemed more interested in self-promotion and showing off than teaching or helping people learn. Maybe it was just an off day or style, but whatever the reason he didn't work for us.
Thankfully, no one was hurt. But each of us volunteered it was a bad experience we'd never do again. A member of our group who had ziplined before (in a western state) thought that other experience was far better.
The cherry on top was management's reaction when we shared our concerns afterward: unapologetic and indifferent. It felt like they had our money and, at that point, little else mattered. Who knows, maybe they'd heard the same things before.
This is the first Trip Advisor review I've ever written. But I take the time to share my opinions thinking that perhaps other similar families will be spared our disappointment and wasted vacation dollars. Of course, we'll not be back to this outfit. On our next trip to wonderful Blue Ridge, we'll look to one of the many other ziplining options for a positive experience.

It was my first time zip lining with my 69 year old mother in law. She had a little trouble hiking up a little trail to get to our first spot but Grant was super kind and patient with us. Both of our tour guides, Grant and Vick, made the experience safe and really fun. I’d definitely do it again! My favorite part was when Grant told us to make sure to look at the blue ridge mountains view, and when he was zip lining down, he pointed at the mountain to let us know when to look. I don’t know, you had to be there, because I thought that was hilarious. Overall, I highly recommend zip lining and make sure you request Grant and Vick. You’ll laugh a lot and you’ll feel safe and comfortable the whole time.

What an awesome experience! This was my first time ziplining and Casey & Kyla were the best. I had no idea that I would be so terrified when I got up there. I was with a group of friends for my birthday and had zero anxiety prior to getting up in the trees. Kyla was the best about giving me the encouragement I needed while making me feel at ease. Once I got going (and got the hang of "braking") it was smooth "zipping"! Casey, aka Curious George ~ our nickname for him because of the way he swings through the trees with ease ~ was amazing as well. He kept us all smiling and having fun. This was an amazing experience that I will always remember.

We unfortunately got a flat tire on our way to our tour and notified the office that we would not be able to make it to the 1:15PM, but would like to move it to the 2:15PM or anytime they had after that and we could be flexible. We were falsely told that they did not have any room on the 2:15PM tour or any tour after 1:15PM that they would have to call in a second guide to just tour our family so there would be a $20 per person change fee. As a business owner myself I understood having to bring in additional staff and the cost associated which $80 for 1 hour was still a pretty aggressive amount, but really I was paying to be privately toured so we agreed to the fee. When we showed up we were put on the 2:15PM tour which already had 4 other people and the 2 guides that were there said they had been there all day long & they actually had a 3:15PM tour as well.
I emailed and requested a refund given the information was inaccurate & the circumstances were out of our control. I received an extremely rude email back from the management saying that they did not care that we were repeat clients. Furthermore, that they were do big and established that 1 bad review would not hurt them. I believe in customer service above all else & even though we are just 1 customer which they do not seem to feel is an issue. We will not be returning to either of their locations in the future.

Luke and Casey held it down so well. They were courteous to frightened folks and joyful to adventurous folks. 10/10 would recommend they guide you through the soaring zip line cruises.
The drive there seems somewhat orthodox but in fact it is an amazing place that would tickle anyone’s fancy.

Really fun day. The trio of KC (or Casey), Sarah and Damien was terrific. Great instructions and seriousness when appropriate and wonderful sense of humor at other times. On top of that, the course was phenomenal with the longest zipline over 1,100 feet and 2 others over 800. The views were phenomenal! I recommend the 2-hour tour, which is 13 stations compared to the 1 hour tour of 7 stations.

Their website has prices in the 80-90 dollar range. We got a much better deal when we bundled the zipline with rafting.

i scheduled the zip and rafting but didn't realize it was different locations, saw the drive in between is 25-30 min. avg how long does the 2 hr zip finish if i scheduled 10am?? thanks
Written August 20, 2018
It was the two full hours, maybe more because of the group size and the fact that we were all newbies.
We actually scheduled the tours on different days because we had a big group and were concerned about delays. We wound up being delayed for zip lining about 45 min because of rain.. so although it’s not impossible to make it to both places in one day, you’ll definitely want to have as much time in between as possible.
Also, our delays then caused the group after us to be delayed, just to give you a little more insight. It’s very fun though. Enjoy!

What is the required age for children to do the zip line, tandem of course with their parent?
Written May 28, 2018
Yes 250 is the stated limit. The cable holders 2500 lbs yes 2500 lbs. The reason for the limit is do to the fact you go faster if you weigh more. They did allow me to go and I was over the limit and I told them that, but as I had good upper body strength they saw I could stop myself and it was a blast. One of the best things I have done in years.

Are there any mountainous views on any of the zip lines?
Written March 10, 2017
Yes, you can see mountains during some of the zips. Like dsazimm said, it is "in the woods," however, many of the zips have terrific views. If you are planning on doing this, I highly recommend the longer tour!
