The drive up to the parking area is beautiful, the road can be a little narrow in spots. The road follows a beautiful stream for most of the drive. The hike from the parking area is a gradual climb but does not get very steep. As you get close to the top of the trail there are lots of roots... More

Not a long hike, but you can pick up parts of the Benton McKay trail from here. Large and picturesque falls The approach to the falls is a bit rocky, so good footwear is a must. I'm always surprised to see people hiking in flip-flops. Would go back again.

Long creek falls is a beautiful falls and very family friendly! The falls is only a mile hike or 2 miles round trip. Beautiful trout streams and shoals on the trail ! The trail is easy and well marked!. It's a little bumpy driving to the trailhead but totally worth it. My granddaughter did this hike and she was only... More

This one is a bit of a challenge to get to but well worth it. There is a 5 mile drive on a pot hole ridden gravel road up the mountain that made for lots of bouncing fun in the car. And once you get there, there is a short 1 mile walk about the mountain to reach the falls.... More

The drive was a little rough and not really worth the water fall. I've seen a lot of falls that are bigger and better and require a lot less effort to get there. The trip consisted of about 10 miles of rough dirt / rocky road. We were in a car and go 15 mph at the most. There were... More

Be prepared as this is a one mile roughly walk uphill most of the way! Take your time and take water as you will need it! But once there you will see a beautiful falls well worth the walk. Heads up to get to this beauty you will be on rough roads and a jeep is recommended!

A long drive over rough roads and then a one mile hike in. Glad we did. Beautiful. We were so hot but still the water was too cold to get in for me. The guys got in.

Beautiful hike, intermediate level. This is a short in and back total of maybe 2 miles. Great day hike to combine with Three Forks Trail to springer Mountain and back!

A beautiful waterfall. Half the fun is getting there, driving on the forest road and hiking in nature makes this spot a must visit if you are staying in Blue Ridge
