My favorite beach during our vacation trip.

We visited the Gulf Coast from Delaware for 7 days and tried various beaches each day between other activities. This is by far my favorite. I enjoy low key laid back!!! This definitely fit the bill! Found some great seashells. I assume they are “common” but coming from Delaware where you NEVER find seashells…any seashell was cool for me to find. It was very clean in and out of the water!
We got there super early (around 9:30) as suggested in other reviews and parking was not a problem. By the time we left around 11:30 that parking lot was hopping! I learned quickly to get to beaches early around there. We parked at the Ben Franklin Drive parking. It was free and there was a nice bathroom area there.

Great Beach

A very nice beach without all the hustle and bustle like at Siesta Key Beach. We were fortunate to find available parking. The water was great, the sand smooth with a few shells and enjoyed the few hours spent getting some Vitamin D.

Our favorite beach!

We vacationed in Siesta Key for 25 years before trying Lido. We never thought any beach could compare to Siesta but we were wrong! Lido is by far the best beach in the area. The sand and water are just as gorgeous as Siesta with probably half the crowds. It’s truly a hidden gem that no one knows about. And if you want to drive to Siesta to eat or shop it’s only 20 minutes down the road!

We had visited the park (lovely park with great rest rooms!) and saw a path to the beach. Having a vacation resort on the beach, we were not too enthused about walking it. A local exited from the path and told us how much he liked walking the beach so we took a look. We absolutely loved it! It was a cool winter day so about the only people on the beach were shell hunters. The sand was flat and seemed to be packed down so walking was very easy in our walking shoes. There were lots of shells to enjoy. It was a very pleasant 2 hours. Would return.

Beautiful water and loads of shells

Such a beautiful beach! Great park setting. Part you can’t swim and it’s very rough and windy, but round the corner and it’s paradise. Loads of shells and clear water!

My girlfriend and I came from West Palm Beach to enjoy the awesome sand of Siesta Key and found a great kayak tour on Lido Key, minutes from St Armands Circle... $90 for both of us for 2 hours. Our tour guide Orion (O’Grady) ;) was a graduate of New College and was the most knowledgeable tour guide we could have hoped for. Orion majored in environmental studies and was terrific. The tour took us inches from wildlife and the mangrove tunnels took us to another world. He paddled backwards the entire time .... to ensure everyone could hear. Highly recommended! 5 stars.

Great park area, nice restrooms and beautiful beach! We didn’t go swimming, but enjoyed the beach to walk and find shells. It was windy, but beautiful and a must see!

The sand is really fine and soft. The day we went, it was windy. there weren't a ton of shells, but we kept walking and found plenty. Very pretty!

Don't feed the birds - they will stalk you for more!!!
