Great family location. Prefer evenings when crowds are low. They have tent, rv and cabins for rent. The lake has a beach area, and allows kayak rentals.

My wife and I traveled to Vogel State Park on my birthday to hike the Bear Hair Gap Trail which climbs into the Blood Mountain Wilderness. The park was extremely busy and near capacity. We barely got in around 11 am. I recommend coming early. The trail begins near the cabins.

We enjoyed this place. It has several paths of different sites and rigor. Clean and kept up nicely both facilities and paths. We definitely want to check out the campsites and cabins next time.
