This is the highest point in GA. You are supposed to be able to see 4 states from the top. It was fairly cloudy when we were there. You pay a small fee to get into the parking lot then you ride in a shuttle...More

Walked up the mountain which is incredibly steep. Not an easy walk! If able my recommendation is to take the shuttle up and walk down. There are some cool informative plaques on the walk.

This is the best view in North Georgia. They also have a little museum and theatre with a lot of interesting information about the mountain. I definitely recommend checking it out. Great for the whole family.

Visited one afternoon as my last stop in north Georgia! GREAT view! Can hike .7 miles to the top, not bad but a little steep but all paved, or take a bus for free. All in all must do if nearby!

Beautiful drive in the North Georgia mountains. The roads are excellently maintained all the way up to the visitor’s center. The climb from the visitor’s center is not for this 72 year old with a bad knee, however, if you can climb 3 steps up...More

First, prepare for the drive up. It is a mountain road, so expect a lot of curves and steep incline -- after all, when you reach the top you will be at an altitude of almost 5K ft. There are several trails, one that leads...More

Give Bell Mountain, Hiawassee, GA a try. They are open 8:00AM to 8 PM (except during very inclement weather). It is really a cool place to visit and you have a great view of Lake Chatuge. We went there a year ago. Be advised... More
