We went here on one of our weekend getaway trips to North GA. The views are just breath taking. We had gone years ago and when we had got to the top we couldn't see because the clouds had settled. This time we were able to see for miles. It was just so beautiful. We traveled in the fall and... More

We took the shuttle up to the observation tower as it was raining a little. It was well worth the trip. This is the highest point in Georgia. They say on a clear day you can see the skyline of Atlanta. Well we didn't see it but it was a beautiful view.

Words can not explain,it's so very beautiful up there and seems like it was quite a bit cooler. The driver of the shuttle was very friendly also, his name was Don.

Well worth a visit. Nice gift shop and friendly staff. Ample parking with a nice view in itself. A shuttle provides access from lot to the top where there is an awesome walk around with view as well as a cool museum. Restroom facilities top and bottom. Nice hiking trail from lot to top.

I hiked to the top of Brasstown Bald using the Jack's Knob trail. It starts just before the highway 180 spur and parallels the road (or so I understand - I never drove the road). It gains about 1700 feet of elevation, most of that in the first two miles. There are a lot of switchbacks but the deciduous forest... More

This is the highest point in GA and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lake plus the bonus of seeing 3-4 states on a clear day. There's an info film as well as exhibits for all to enjoy. (I may be a bit biased tho as my great, great grandfather initially named the mountain "Enota" after his good... More

We went after 5 pm and the parking was free. The parking lot was completely empty and there were only a few others there. 6/10 of a mile hike up a paved trail. Beautiful well labeled views of all the Georgia mountains you can even see North Carolina in the distance.

The views included SC, NC, TN, and GA! It was a warm day, so we rode the van up. You can hike up the six tenths of a mile, but it is steep. The video at the top was informative. We enjoyed a stroll through the museum. The views were gorgeous! We also enjoyed shopping in the small store at... More

You can see many states from the observation building. It is beautiful in the spring and fall. Summer is nice but hot and muggy.

Visited the highest peak in GA with my family. I would highly recommend it. There is plenty of parking, picnic tables. The staff is very polite and helpful. The hike is 0.6 miles up a steep paved path. You can push a stroller if you are physically fit. Or you can take a shuttle bus to the top. The views... More
