What a beautiful hike - we visited the terraces, the narrows and then followed the loop trail back to the car park. One of my favourite hikes in the region. Kids really enjoyed it too. Definitely a must do if in the area, just make...More

No water in the creek but still a very pretty walk. This is not a smooth path but a ramble over a rocky creek bed. But it is fairly easy except for the killer steps at the start. The walls of the gorge are spectacular,...More

A friend and I hiked Alligator Gorge, the 6 hour ring route. The gorge is amazing!!! While much of the path is over creek and rocks, it wasn’t a hard hike at all. We completed the hike in about 2.5 hours, including plenty of time...More

My husband and I set off for the large Alligator Gorge ring walk around 10am, and it took us around 3 hours - with some stopping to take pictures. The walk was a little bit tough with lots of fallen trees and rubble, but we...More

Great place to stop - good hiking but even if you don't want to walk there are some good views from nearby viewing platforms (about ~300m from the carpark, so not far) and also a good place for a picnic. You do need a permit...More

It is a lovely drive and if you want to go on the gorge walk there are lots of steps, first down and then up. I enjoyed it and the colour of the rocks is a beautiful orange. In town they have a cafe that...More

Yes good bitumen road right to either of the two carparks.OK for any vehicle.Look forward to 18 shallow water channels in the road which certainly act as speed (reverse) bumps. Regards Ross
