We went here for a date night and I loved this place. So much character compared to city theaters. I walked around the museum for 45 minutes. I loved the old posters and paraphernalia from each decade. The theatre was very clean and my husband and I had a great time.

The Highlands Cinema is unique, very cool and totally unexpected. Up in the hillside and then inside, it's like a maze of surprises! Six movies show, plus there is the museum, which is chock full of old stuff from decades past. A must do if you're in the surrounding area. It's very popular and each theatre is small, so you're... This has to be the neatest, coolest, most different movie theatre anywhere. It is built into the side of a hill and contains all sorts interesting exhibits about the movies, from old projectors to programs. It's a lot of fun and probably the only theatre of its kind, anywhere.

A truly wonderful place in Kinmount in Kawartha Lakes. Ideal for treating family and friends to a experience through the museum and then great show. Concession Stand is old style and darn good, Popcorn is the best and service is too ! I give it 10 Stars .

We've been going here for years and it's such a unique experience to walk through the museum before your movie starts. It brings back memories of your childhood as they have some amazing items. It's a gem of the Kawarthas!

A unique experience, just bring a flashlight and bug spray. One to find your car and the other for the mosquitoes

wow...what a great experience. Lots to see (and not just the movie) and who would know a 5 movie theater hidden in the Highlands. Highly recommended.

Great place to go when you are in the area. Lots of fun and sentimental walk down memory lane. Only sad that there were no previews before the movie. I love to watch those.
