We were looking for a place for a picnic and discovered this little park. In addition to a covered picnic pavilion visitors may enjoy will include a playground, boardwalk and observation deck overlooking the wetlands, fitness trail with exercise equipment, public restrooms and open lawn area. Limited on-site surface parking is available at the entrance to the preserve.

Don't go- its barely a park don't waste your time if you are more than 5 miles away. go to park avenue for shopping and restaurants, look at the little rose garden there and train station, or better yet, pay a small entry fee at harry P Lue Gardens down 17-92 in Orlando, much better there

I live nearby and never actually knew this place is being marketed for tourists on this site. How embarrassing. Go to theTitusville area or take the Deland area Blue Springs Pontoon Boat ride for birds, manatees (and other wildlife)(currently $22.00 and worth it). Note:This area is not the picnic ground and cement walk on Howell Branch that was recently donated/bought... More

Even though the park is on a busy street it is fairly quiet near the back of the park. Saw hawks and other birds. Picnic area and playground for kids.

I went there to bird watch and that day there really was not much to see. There is a covered place to eat with a table and benches and there is a playground for the kids to play and run around in a large fenced in area. There are also adequate rest room facilities in the park.

We drove an hour to see this ". Nature Preserve". It turned out to be a glorified playground with a deck that overlooked the wetlands. The wetlands had all kinds of trash. Nice playground equipment though.

For toddlers this is a great meeting place. This is also a great Birthday Party Park easy to book and you get the whole place to yourself. A 7-11 Slurpee is just steps away. A plus park.
