We purchased tickets to see the final performance of Respect: A Musical Journey of Women for my mother's 82nd birthday. The moment we walked through the door we were greeted as if we were family. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and the décor was beautiful. Everyone went out of their way to assist my disabled sister while at the same time making my mother feel special for her birthday. The performance of Christine Brandt, Kathryn Kilger, Mahalia Gronigan and Nyeshia Smith was fantastic! They were flawless as they brought so many memories of women's history by song and narration. The choreographer, musicians and production team were absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful time and would recommend The Winter Park Playhouse for everyone seeking an enjoyable evening. Absolutely delightful!

My wife bought ticket to a show here at Christmas... I was really surprised by the professional production. The WP Playhouse is a true gem. I look forward to more hours of entertainment.

We go several times a season and enjoyed the latest 60's musical. The atmosphere is very friendly and the Executive Director goes out of her way to meet everyone. Nice bar and the seating is spacious. The entertainers are excellent as they can draw from the Disney cadre. It is a small theater which we prefer and you feel right on stage. They provide a variety of musicals during a season and depend upon donations as well as the attendance for their survival. Hint: check out the special "three show" deal and give this place a try. Near the Fiddler's Green Pub for a preshow dinner. Ther ticket stubs give you 20% off at two local restaurants as well.

My wife and I are great fans of the Winter Park Playhouse. We attend two or three of their musicals every year. The venue only seats about 125 people and is very intimate. Roy and Heather, the Director and Associate Director are easy to deal with and accommodating if there is a question. The talent is very good. Great place for couples.

I took my mom to see Sisters of Swing, the Andrew sisters. The performance was beatiful and well done! The stage and seating area are small but personable. The staff is super friendly! There is a bar and they have cabaret nights which I would like to try one day.

The play was set in the Catskill during 1950s, the actors were very good. You can bring your own wine with you. Crossing the street was an adventure.

We won a silent auction item for 2 tickets to the Winter Park Playhouse and were so thrilled at , the energetic buzz in the lounge before the show (live piano music and bar!), the comfort and intimacy of the house (we were in row F, the back row... still excellent view), and the quality of the production (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change). Highly recommend.

We have gotten a season subscription to the playhouse for several years. Last night we saw Desperate Measures and it was terrific, the best one I’ve seen to date. The only difference between WPP and Broadway is the size of the stage. It’s really that good

We've been attending plays for several years and found this one to be one of our best ones we've seen! The songs and performers were wonderful and the set design very clever! We drive about an hour to attend the performances and it is well worth the trip!!!

I want to know about parking while attending a show at Winter Park Playhouse
Written November 14, 2019
We are so glad you coming to a show at The Winter Park Playhouse! On street parking on Orange Ave, Holt Ave and Capen Ave surround the theatre and if you eat at The Winter Park Fish Company next door they allow you to park there as well(and you get 20% off your meal with the theatre ticket!) Additionally the bank and paint store across the street allow parking in their lots in the evenings and weekends (Sat and Sun) and thank you to our patron friend who responded earlier... yes! there are several lots that are nearby as well within blocks of the theatre. Enjoy the show!

Can I bring my granddaughters ages 7 and 11 to the Winter Wonderettes show?
Written November 2, 2018
We love having families come to the theatre, but in answer to your question, the minimum age to see mainstage production at the Playhouse is 11 years. Thank you or your interest!

when we go to an evening show, the parking lot right across the street, i believe it's between a paint supply store and an upscale Goodwill, is available. I believe we've also parked on the other side of the same Goodwill building. Both the paint store and the Goodwill are closed in the evening, so we've never had an issue.

I live in the Villages, not far from 441. I was wondering what was the best route to the playhouse, 44l or the Florida turnpike to Route 4 and then what? I hear about all the construction on Route 4 and wondering what would be the best route to travel. Also, how long would you estimate in time for the 2:00 o'clock show on October 7.
Please advise.

Joan,
John gave you some good advice. I would add my two cents with some specific directions we have typed up for our patrons coming from that area.
1. Take US-27 South/SR-25 South towards Florida’s Turnpike.
2. Merge onto Florida’s Turnpike South via the ramp on the left. (20 miles)
3. Merge onto SR-408 East/East-West Expressway via EXIT 265 towards Orlando/Titusville. (9.6 miles)
4. Merge onto I-4 East via EXIT 10B towards Daytona Beach. (3.2 miles)
5. Take the Princeton Street exit, EXIT 85. (0.2 miles)
6. Turn right onto E. Princeton Street/SR-438. (0.1 miles)
7. Turn left onto N. Orange Avenue/SR-527. (2.5 miles) [Orange Avenue will veer slightly to the right after you pass the Florida Hospital]
8. The Winter Park Playhouse is located on the left in approximately 1.8 miles. We have big, red awnings above our door. The Playhouse is directly across the street from Goodwill Industries. If you cross the railroad tracks, you’ve gone too far.
I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact The Playhouse directly if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Todd Allen Long
