Kayak and stand up paddleboard rentals and tours are offered daily at Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve. We will assist you in launching into the Middle River from our sixty foot floating dock. Lessons are free! Guided tours are scheduled twice each day at 10 AM and 1 PM. Hourly rentals are available anytime from 9 AM til 4 PM, at $16 per hour (Pro-rated after 1 hour) or $40 for four hours per adult. kids 6-12 are half price, under 6 are free. Guided Urban Eco Tour is $48 per adult, half price for kids 6-12, under 6 are free.

Our guided tour is second to none! See herons, egrets, ibises, and more! Our guides will share their knowledge of the area's history and ecosystem on a one and a half to two hour tour down the river. We usually have the wind at our backs on the way home, as the tradewinds blow from the East. Most times, the trees and houses along the river provide cover from any high winds. My sister and I went kayaking and decided to go around the whole island! It's beautiful and took about 3 hours to do. We didn't see a ton of wildlife but it was still very pretty and there wasn't much of a current to fight. We didn't have a reservation, we called about 15 minutes before showing up (Riverwalk Recreation... More

Thanks for coming! I've heard a lot of recent reports of operators closing up (Giving up on their constituents) lately on account of the wind, or rain showers. We do our best to stay open, even on slow days. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again! More

We went to this on vacation and had a great time. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. We took the full loop which was beautiful and worth the price.

I rented a single kayak to "refresh" my kayaking skills for an upcoming trip--and was delighted with both the help I received from the staff before pushing off the dock AND with the views along the Middle River after I pushed off. Great for beginners and for the experienced. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I rented a double kayak for a few hours to kayak on the intercostal waterway. We saw lots of lizards and all in all it was a good adventure. Highly recommend lots of sunscreen, a hat and water! The coconut water at the end was a nice treat.

Took the sunset paddle on the Middle River with my family. There were 7 of us -- 5 adults, 1 teen, and an 11-year-old. James was a terrific guide -- personable and knowledgeable about the flora, fauna, and geography on the river. It's a fun and easy paddle (little current or chop), you get to see a side of South... Thanks for the heads up! Complacency is a precursor to most accidents. I'll remind my staff of this point. More

We are always looking for outdoor activities that might be fun and different and thought kayaking on the Middle River would be worth a try. Atlantic Coast Kayak is located at Wilton Manors, home of the Richardson Historic Estate. Although the building is closed except for private rental, there is a small nature walk around the property as well as... More

First I'd like to thank Phototripper for just coming in as well as the review. We hear now and then, that it costs a lot from the standpoint of a guest to use our services. That said, I'd like to point out that I am very conscious of the importance of keeping this activity affordable for individuals as well as... More

Went on the Eco tour in a group of 13. James was good but really hard to hear with everyone jockeying to get really close. 1st half is a tour and info about history and wildlife while second part is a straight row back. Enjoyed the coconut water upon conclusion .

Well organized, great trip 1.5hrs relaxing, Kenny was our guide and he was very knowledgable about the river, city, ecosystem, plant and marine life we encountered. Overall we had a great time (kids 9-14 and adults) I would definitely recommend this to anyone locally or visiting.

What a great way to spend the afternoon! We took a two hour guided tour on the middle river. It was a relaxing afternoon and the guide was great. Upon our return, we were given coconuts to drink, a great treat on a hot day. Highly recommend this company.
