I have been living in FL for 5 years and never seen the Everglades up close. This weekend I decided to take the kids for a fun experience and it was way above our expectation.
We were lucky to enjoy a perfect afternoon weather. Bought...More
I went to Sawgrass Recreation Park as part of a tour that would take us to the airport afterwards (we had arrived from a cruise and had a late flight). I really enjoyed the visit. The park was very very crowded (many cruises arrived). But...More
I came here with a friend a few years ago and had a great visit so decided to come back with my husband after shopping at Sawgrass Mills Outlets. Its an easy drive and a sure way to see the alligators and their habitat. The...More
Airboat ride was 30 minutes with entertaining and knowledgeable "Captain". Unable to take any pictures from rows beyond the front seat due to visual blockage. For safety reasons only 4 permitted in front bench. Wildlife encounter was a disappointment - small enclosures for rescued animals,...More

Sawgrass Recreation Park
I'm looking for a tour to Everglades that includes transportation from our hotel and back. Sawgrass recreation park is partners with KSA tours and ACE tours. Has anyone used any of them? Any other suggestions?

I've visited the park several times and it is worth a visit but we have always driven there so I have no idea how reliable the transport companies they use are. I have seen tour buses drive in when I've been there. The staff at the park always seem pretty reliable and efficient so I would guess that they would expect their partners to be the same.
Sawgrass Recreation Park vs. Everglades Holiday Park? (2 Replies)
Pros/cons of either park? Is one more interesting? Is one better for children (ages 4-10) or seniors with mobility issues? Anything else to consider?

The tv show Gator Boys was based out of Everglades Holiday Park. Did your kids ever watch it?
