I visited Peanut Island which was originally created in 1918 as a result of material excavated when the Lake Worth Inlet was created and was originally only 10 acres. Today the island is 80 acres with camping, picnicking, fishing and swimming lagoons. If you don’t...More

I wouldn't even consider this a museum. It's in a park where you will be approached by dozens of homeless people sleeping on the porch. It's horrible. Don't go.

It was a nice little tour but way too expensive for the little tour ($17 - I did get $2 off as i took water taxi over). Was interesting but when paying for a family of four - way too expensive for what you are...More

My husband and I visited this with another couple. The four of us have been in South Florida for years and never been to Peanut Island which seems ridiculous but busy with work and family. Peanut island is very cool, easy water taxi to get...More

The museum itself was very small. They did have some very intersting items from the 30's and 40's. Of course the best part was the JFK fallout bunker. It was really cool. They did a great job recreating what it would of looked like inside....More

The Maritime Museum itself if disappointing. It really is a mish mash of things, with no order or history. There are two buildings and the JFK bunker. The welcome center could be a lot more welcoming, though the personnel working there were friendly and helpful....More

You'll need to get a boat ride over to Peanut Island or use a kayak. Once there, it's fifteen bucks to take the tour into the hastily constructed Kennedy bomb bunker from the Cuban Missile Crisis. You can also spend a little time in the...More

This was a really fun and interesting tour! Kat our tour guide was so laid back and fun. You can go right from the beach in your swimsuit or shorts, nothing stuffy here.

This small maritime museum is located within Curry Park and is very charming! I passed a number of times before I found it open, so be sure to check the hours for appropriate times to visit. Antique artifacts and photographs are interesting. The view of...More

To call this a museum is kind of a slight to anyone who has ever curated a collection of knick-knacks at home. That's pretty much what this is. They have a few pictures on the wall of a terrible gift shop. There is absolutely nothing...More
