The aquarium is garbage here as you will see hardly any fish in just one small room. The other room is hands on junk. The highlight was supposedly the mini golf course, but they didn't hand out scorecards. This was a well kept course, but had no obstacles and was just 18 practice putting holes.

Went there on a free Saturday (Thanks to the BofA Free Museum weekend offer). The place is not far from the highway and there's free parking.

There are a few main sections:

- Discovery area: Lots of learning for kids and adults, brain area, senses, puzzles, brain teasers, etc.

- Aquarium: Small area with turtles, seahorse, fish, sharks, clown fish, etc. Well documented.

- Trail: Outside area for walking or for kids to play around.

- Dinosaur exhibit area: Lots of learning for kids and adults alike.

- Planetarium: I went to the traditional Skies over Palm Beaches. It was ok. They talked about 5 planets and 4-5 constellations, not great, but basic.

- There's a small cafe that serves basic fare.

Overall fun for kids so they can get their hands busy.

This place was great! They have some really cool aquariums, and fun interactive exhibits. They have a really neat outside portion that is (supposed to be) for kids, but if you're you g at heart you'll have a blast. We dug in sand for shark teeth, and bought some bags of dirt from the gift shop to pan for rocks and shark teeth! They've also got some cute little hand made marble turtles in the gift shop for great prices, and they go towards helping the sea turtles!

This place was very cool to visit. My son enjoyed the maze with questions. We did the maze twice and it was educational. Had some great laughs on the freeze your shadow. The tornado booth was cool too. The brain room was very creative.

My 2 and 5 year olds loved it and were engaged at every station. If it weren't for the adults, they could've spent the whole day here. =) We went initially for the dinosaur exhibit, which was a little disappointing but still interesting. The rest of the facility surely made up for it. The outdoor area was great! We played putt putt and the engineering/physics hands on fun. The splash pad looked awesome, but we didn't have time for it. The cafe was closed, but we found a great hole-in-the-wall Cuban spot (Capri) a few minutes away who had delicious sandwiches. I'd take the kids back next time we're in the area.

Thank you for your in-depth review! We're happy to hear your 2 and 5 year old found several exhibits that they enjoyed. Many guests don't realize that we have exciting indoor AND outdoor activities! We'd also like to hear more of your feedback about the Dinosaur Revolution exhibit. Please give us a call during regular business hours if you have a few minutes to discuss. Our traveling exhibits change twice a year, so stay tuned for the next exciting experience!

I love this question. Get more informative staff! It was our first time here and we expected someone to be informative about their place of employment and at least, the very least, be enthusiastic about the place where they work. We were told the "aquarium is that way, there were more things behind and down that way is intended for small children". WOW! of course after taking our money (WHICH IS NOT WORTH THE HILL OF BEANS) We headed over to the aquarium which I started to take some photos...only to get RUDELY YELLED at not to use my flash. Other than that, there really is NOTHING to see here! NOTHING!!! Don't waste your time.

Dean, we are sorry to hear your visitor experience was not up to our normal standards. We have sent your feedback to our Director of Visitor Services. The Science Center has grown tremendously over the last several years and we pride ourselves on great guest experiences. Within the last 10 years, we’ve dramatically renovated our campus and updates included a complete reconstruction of our 5,000 square foot Hall of Discovery, containing 100 new hands-on exhibits, an upgraded planetarium, new early childhood exhibit and playground, and modernized theater. In 2016, we completed the 18-hole miniature golf Conservation Course designed by local legends Gary Nicklaus and Jim Fazio. It was developed as a green space to provide recreational and environmental benefits to visitors while educating people about Florida’s native habitats and was named one of the "Top Thirteen Miniature Golf Courses in the nation" by Travel Magazine. In October of 2018, we completed the second half of our backyard, the quarter-mile-long Fisher Family Science Trail which connects 15 new exhibits, including a Physics Forest, FPL SolarScape, interactive splash pad, gem panning station and dinosaur walk. In March of 2019 we completed the $2.5 million dollar permanent exhibit “Journey Through the Human Brain” in partnership with the FAU Brain Institute, which has since been dubbed the most advanced exhibit on the human brain in the world. In spring of 2020, we added a $500,000 open-air amphitheater to our backyard Science Trail which features daily live science shows, trivia sessions and concerts. Guests bring picnic blankets and socially-distance themselves in the grass field while being educated and entertained. This is all in addition to our 10,000 gallon salt and freshwater Aquarium! We plan to open our next blockbuster exhibit, Earth Matters, in December of this year and hope you get a chance to re-experience the Science Center soon.

Should've gotten a discount since the Bodies exhibit was closed so there wasn't much to see! Everything else was geared more towards kids and not worth the money!

Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear your visit was not to par. Although we are not just a children's museum, our demographic tends to skew towards young families with children. We hope you were able to experience our exhibitions that have layers for adults too - like our new "Journey Through the Human Brain" exhibit, outdoor Physics Forest, Conservation Mini Golf Course, Brain Busters, 10,000 gallon Aquarium, and higher-level Planetarium shows. Also note, our next blockbuster exhibition "Earth Matters" will premier in December 2021 and feature new, thought-provoking and interactive displays about climate change and sustainability. It will be great for all ages!

The aquarium was quite small. The highlight of the museum was the exhibit on the human body. The rest of the museum was really for small children with a lot of touch exhibits. Not worth the price for adults.
