In this golf course it is no waterhazarts. In the sides of fairway it is some places white wasteland, so it is netter to play with yellow or orange balls. You can find them must more easier. It is a typical tourist course. The price was not bad, in december under 30 dollars per round. It is not a very difficult except the wasteland, because it is very difficult to hit there. I have played there 4 rounds and always the course has been full. They takes also more players than they have teetimes, so in the first tee, it can be 2-3 groups waiting, that they can start. However it is a positive course.

Thank you for taking time play the historic West Palm Beach Golf Course. We must admit we are very busy during the season since we are an affordable public golf course that golfers enjoy playing. We are unique since we have no water hazards but our naturally native waste areas can be a challenge for those who find them! We do take our pace of play very serioulsy so our guests will have a good time. We have assigned tee times and our starter tries to keep things moving on time but during the season we do get a number of very inexperienced golfers. Our staff does their very best to assist each guest so no matter the skill level they all have a great time. Hope you will visit us again sometime soon.

I've been playing West Palm Muni the last 5 years. Great course for the money
another reviewer said he paid $100 with cart. No way he paid that as a single highest rate 45 dollars out of county residents during the season

Thanks for the review. This course since 1947 has been dedicated to serving the public with great affordable golf. That staff tries hard to keep pace of play around four hours for an enjoyable experience. Hope to see you again soon.

Course had nothing but waste bunkers in between the fairways. Good news was that I had an erratic day off the tee, but didn't lose any balls since they all ended up in the sand. Lots of greenside bunkers as well. Wide fairways, good greens. We had an enjoyable time for our 1st golfing day in Florida. Friendly staff.

This was the first course I played in Florida for many years. I played 9 holes one day to miss the rain and 18 the next. Course employees were very helpful and the cost at $45 was very reasonable. There is lots of sand on the course, but the sand is well kept and if you have any skill with a wedge, not that big a problem.

Disappointed with the course condition, the greens were patchy, the fairways were not mowed. We made a mistake playing here.

I have played this course off and on for many years, before and after the course renovation. I was shocked to see the old clubhouse torn down; in its place a trailer in the parking lot! The layout of the course is great, classic. The greens are in fantastic shape, but the fairways are dry and a lot of dirt/sand. Full disclosure, there are signs posted at the cash register that state they have a broken irrigation system so the fairways are dry. It’s makes me sad to see such a legendary golf course in this shape.

No water hazards on this course, but lots of waste bunkers. The fairways are more like hard pan. Traps and Greens were very good.

I have played a lot of golf in the area. I recently played here. The club house is small and looks like a temporary trailer. I needed golf balls. The lady there said they were competitively priced. The Bridgestone e6 were about 32 a dozen which is high. The tee times ran about 15 minutes behind. One I teed off the course was nice layout. The greens were in good shape but the fairways were poor. I didn't mind the waste areas. If you hit the ball straight they don't come into play. The round lasted 4 1/2 plus hours which was too long. There are too many good courses in the area to play this.

Thank you for playing the historic Dick Wilson designed West Palm Beach Golf Course. We are now part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail ( a group of courses the public has been able to play since the late 1800's) and will be the featured course in March. We pride ourselves on being an affordable place for the public to enjoy the game of golf. We apologize for the slow pace of play you experienced the day you were here. We do try very hard to keep the pace of play around 4 hours, but sometimes during the season we have some very inexperienced golfers on the course. The great news is we are a waterless facility, so no lost balls in the lakes! Thanks for the comments about the greens. They are usually really good. We do hope you will come back and give us another try. Thanks for taking the time to give us a review.

I have played here for years but they literally took out all of the trees and replaced them with sand. In windy conditions you need to wear goggles so that the sand doesn't blow in your eyes. The clubhouse has been deemed unfit so they are going to have to rebuild it. It is a great place with a historic event feel.

Course was nice to play, not much water but sand enough. Almost as a dessert course. But fairways dry, greens also but some faster than others. Good overall experience but clubhouse was out of use and so facilities were not up to the standards. Pace of play a bit over 4 ½ hrs.

Course is recommendable but be aware that no lunch will be served at the club.
