Ok to start off I did a review when I first started riding the Owahee trail and didn't realize it is actually different than the Apoxee trail. So the Owahee trail is the dirt/sand trail that goes around the Apoxee trail and I would say the full loop is 12-15 miles around the "loop". There is also another section of... More

Trail is fairly well maintained and easy to ride. Not a lot of shade for most of the ride, but the area has some great wildlife. I would ride this again

You can experience some old Florida landscape and wildlife here. It's just slightly west of town so it's easy to get to. You can make your walk as long or short as you like. It's a great hike.

Free parking. Very sad it closes at 6PM with automatic gates, especially since its light later in the summer. Walk starts paved the segways into natural path. Great walking path for the able bodied. Lots of roots, mud and steps up and down onto bridges. Not handicap friendly. The views are georgous with natural tree canopies opening into marsh and... More

It is hard to believe that these trails are right in our own backyard, yet you feel like you traveled to the middle of the state. The walk was wonderful; trails and boardwalks alike. There were some muddy spots and wildlife on the trail, so wear the right clothes/shoes and keep your eyes open. I think it would be tricky... More

We could not progress very far on this trail because of standing water on much of the beginning of the trail but the layout and the markings are outstanding. It is amazing that it is so close to highly populated area, and you really feel as though you are hundreds of miles away (except for some traffic on Jog Road... More

Great riding and hiking trails! You can spend a short amount of time there or all day. Some trails will flood after a strong rain but it's nature in its raw form. I often ride the trails that start at the entrance/exit of the park and get to see gators, turtles, and an abundance of other animals!
