Our girls ride hunter back home and we excited to see this famous place. They were even hoping to get a tee-shirt. But it was deserted and there were no good signs directing you. Unless there is a show going on, there is nothing to see or do.

For those who do not know - Wellington has become the Equestrian Capital of the World (from Jan- Apr) every year. This area located due west of West Palm is truly a unique experience and largely unknown to the (non-horse community). If visiting this area of SE FLA - take a ride out to Wellington and look to visit one of the many Equestrian events held during their winter season. You will not be disappointed. Spectacular facilities await. For horse lovers (of any kind) - this is a must! You will be amazed at the wealth that flocks into Wellington every season - from all over the world. The only downside - beware when trying to frequent the best restaurants in area during the season as the local population swells by thousands and reservs are very tough to come by!

We’ve watched a fun show on a Saturday night, where a team of women riders compete against a team of men riders, jumping the same parcour. It was very exciting!

I have been a horse lover and rider all my life and for years attended the Wellington Winter Equestrian Festival but not in a while. The Saturday Night Lights features Show Jumping under the lights and is a fun way to spend he evening if you like horses. We were fortunately able to get one of the best tables at The Tiki Hut with a interesting group from Ireland to eat and view the event, we ordered hamburgers ,drinks and had a great time.Food is so so ,service was fine and packed.

This is the place to be, especially from January to April. Florida's wonderful winter weather (70's) is perfect for the equestrian lover to enjoy a day of watching the hunters and jumpers in a fabulous environment. There are a number of rings where horse and rider perform before the judges, and it's fun to stroll along the pathways of retail shops and places to catch a bite or a beer. I give it a 5* because of the facility...it is beautiful and extremely well kept. Also the "Saturday Nights Grand Prix Jumping" is always outstanding.

We witnessed the International Jumping competition and were so impressed with the entire atmosphere. First, the parking was easy and well organized. Secondly, there were quality seats for everyone. Third, the riders and the horses were fabulous to watch with great announcers. Fourth, this is a great place to take children of all ages.

The facilities are excellent and it was fun to watch some world-class show jumping. The Saturday Night Lights show is free and was like a big hang-out for locals, tourists, and horse enthusiasts alike, very good atmosphere, there are also lots of things to do for the family - petting zoo, carousel, pony rides, face painting, busters. If you are really into watching the show jumping, make sure to grab a seat at least 1 hour before the start, it can get crowded. Also go walk the course and be amazed by the height of the jumps.

The PBIEC is a fun and unique way to spend a few hours on a Saturday night. I live in Wellington, and people come from all around the world to be a part of the equestrian events. Here it's horse jumping in particular (the best in the world), but so much more. Live music, a Tiki bar and grill, food trucks and other interesting booths. During season Jan-April there are events every week. Just pay for parking and admission is free.

We went 2x during the day, not at night, so I don't know what you mean by "show". During the day we paid nothing, no fees. We (family of 4 adults, 2 children) have a handicapped sticker too, and the handicapped lot was full, so they told us to disembark (no wheelchair, though) and then pointed out a place nearby where we could park anyway. There was a "greeter" right at the entrance, and she called us a golf cart to take us to a viewing area.
I like horses, but I am not very knowledgeable about riding as a sport. The daytime events are probably not as good as the advertised night time events, but we loved them. IN A WHEELCHAIR YOU CAN SEE A LOT. I do not recall any major obstructions. There are covered viewing areas accessible. There are 12 (as I recall) performance / competition rings, many going on at the same time, and if you understand the rules (I don't) you can watch the competitions. There is a program at the entrance (again, free) telling you what competitions are scheduled for the day. When we arrived the concessions were not yet open, but in the early afternoon they did open, and it was interesting to see the horse-related booths. We did not eat, so I cannot tell you about that, but in all, the "park" was laid out in a smooth, chair-friendly manner.
Check the web site, too.
That is all I know. Have fun.
