Great park in Wellington
Jun 2021
We discovered this park only recently, while looking for places to get some fresh air and exercise while being able to social distancing.

It has 2 entrances (the main difference between the two is that the North one has restrooms) with small parking lots, and 3 miles of walking trails where you can walk, run or bike. There is also a separate dirt path for horseback riding!

It is a very clean, tranquil, beautiful park; nature and birds help you relax, and get great pictures.

We will visit it frequently during the winter time: as a lot of people already pointed out, the trails are completely under the sun… but there are a lot of young trees on the sides though: they will surely bring some shades to the trails in the future!

Nature with surveillance
Mar 2021
It is a large area, easy to walk three miles. Nice wetlands and low traffic noise, sweet birdlife and nicely cyclable. But there is little shade, including at the benches. It was particularly uncomfortable to notice a video camera on each floor of the tower pointed directly at us. What's with that, Wellington? Thus, the lower review.

Peaceful Waters was closed but we found this place
Feb 2020
Lovely, quiet spot. Lots to see if you just look. Climbing the tower allows for a spectacular view. Higly recommend
this place. We go to Green Cay (closed), Wakathatchee Wetlands, Peaceful Waters (closed) and this new
find was just great.

Stunning

We visited this reserve after going to peaceful waters in the morning and read about it on the information board. So very beautiful and tranquil we wish we had longer to enjoy the area as we seen much beautiful wildlife.
Don’t rely on a satnav to find the reserve though as it sent us somewhere else over the other side of Wellington.

Florida nature

I live very close to this park so I use it often .
I either walk , run or ride my bike .
When I bike , I usually ride on the outer loop first ...
It’s a sandy gravel equestrian trail ( Aprox 2 miles ) , so , I have to work a bit harder !
The inner loop is asphalt and has a few wooden bridges .
The highlight of the park is the tower ... it gives and outstanding view of the entire preserve .
Lots of birds , Rabbits and alligators . There is a restroom at the beginning of the trail and a few scattered in the preserve . It is well marked , so no fear of getting lost .
If your looking for alligators - I have seen them most at parking lot 2 , near the water locks .

Wonderful place
Dec 2018 • Couples
The Wellington Environmental Preserve is a place not too far from the center of the city, but immediately you arrive over there, you feel immerse on nature.
There's so many activities to do: walk, see birds, discover animals living on their environment ....It's a place to visit with family but also is recommended to all the people interested on ecological systems. You can visit alone, because it is a safe place , handicap people friendly
Better to visit it late in the afternoon during the sunset , or early in the morning...but , be sure that no matter at what time you visit, you'll find nature around you.
Be careful about the closing time

Nature walk

First of all I would like to say what an amazing place to walk through or bike through this location is beyond breathtaking climbing up the top of the tower to look out over the water seeing the Gators and fish.
The fish in the wet lands like the birds are very relaxing and a great place to take a nice stroll going across the boardwalk you'll never know what you're going to see in the water around you.
The rabbits on the paths the turtles it's a must go to . must-see whelming. Wonderfully maintained

Riding Walkding Biking
Feb 2019 • Couples
This is in incredibly beautiful and peaceful place to take in the sights and tanquil paths so close the the crazy busy life in Wellington. I have more often enjoyed this area by horse back however walking and biking is a good choice as well. A "must do" whether you are a one time or requent visitor to the area. Something differnet everytime you go.
