This is a lovely gem of a park in Hernando County, near Wickee-Wachee. Not too crowded, not too desolate with a delightful breeze coming in off the Gulf. There is a convenient food shack and plenty of shaded picnic tables. Tons of parking. Separate swimming area the is VERY child friendly (shallow). Separately you can launch kayaks or cast a line. Nice & clean!…

While vacationing in Weeki Wachee, Florida, our family visited this place 3 days out of our 7-day stay. It was just a leisurely 15-minute drive. Great water and a place to fish. Lots of room for sunbathing. This is our 4th year going and always a super time.…

Nice small little beach. $5 entry. Cute playground. Nice little cafe with some good eats! Calm warm water. Very shallow though so the older kids might not like it. No waves. Good for snorkeling. Bring a raft and float around.

Yes people had fun looking for crabs, and we saw dolphins way out in the water, and there were some trees for some shade. But it was still, a little smelly, no waves, no salt air, no depth and tons of kids under 8 years. We thought it would be water and swimming north of Clearwater Beach, but it was more like a Kiddie pool. …
