We were very disappointed because the last mermaid show was filled before we got a seat and the river boat ride had an hour wait... we came for those two things and left not being able to do either! They had a water park area and it looked like that was why most people were there. The slides look fun!... More

We traveled to Weeki Wachee last May (2016) to take the kids to the mermaid show. We picked and awful weekend to go, unfortunately, it rained the entire time! We stood in line for 2 hours to enter the park (so go early!). We were able to see the mermaid show, which was awesome! But, we were rained out before... More

We wanted to see the source of the river since we had kayaked on it the past few days so we stopped in. $13 adult admission but it was a "when in Rome" type thing. The Mermaid show was a bit hokey but interesting. We would have went on the boat ride but the boat was full and we didn't... More

The big amusement parks threatened to put old-time roadside destinations out of business, but the State thankfully took over this gem and kept it alive. Two different mermaid shows while I was there. Both were good, but photography was difficult even though I was in the front row. The glass and water not perfectly clear. But worth a visit, especially... More

History of the natural spring and mermaids are very good. Park is in need of TLC. Kind of wished there were more things to do and see. The animal encounter was informative, and my granddaughter loved to chase the peacocks!

Brought "up north" friends for a taste of Florida. It's fairly small for a state park. Admission includes a water park that was not open during our visit. You may want to check ahead for this. The walking paths are nice and well-maintained, though short. It won't take you long to see everything. The free animal show is interesting, though... More

A nice quite place for a stroll, inexpensive entry, but really not too much to see. The place has bee around since the 50's and you can tell. They are updating the waterpark and could use more display animals throughout the park to make it a bit more interesting.

Thank goodness this was not my first visit to Weeki Wachee! We unfortunately picked a weekend to visit during "Swamp Fest". What a nightmare! I wanted to purchase an Annual Pass for Florida State Parks, so I was directed to a single window in guest services. I ALSO wanted to purchase a single days admission ticket. Because the festival was... More

An original Florida attraction, Weeki Wachee is still a great attraction. The exotic animal show was informative but not exciting. Our timing was lousy as we twice missed the short boat ride which closes down during the Mermaid Show. 'Little Mermaid' was the updated theme of the beautiful mermaids which is still a spectacular to behold. These young people are... More

Good old-fashioned fun for all the family. We were not sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. Mermaid show has been happening for many years and is still a spectacle to enjoy. We took a little boat cruise on the river and saw numerous different birds and fish and the exotic animal show rounded our visit off nicely. There... More
