We were hesitant to visit the springs since we were only in Tallahassee for a few days! Recommended to us by the hotel staff, it was well worth the trip as we went on a boat tour and it is simply majestic in how clear the water was. We were lucky enough to see the Florida manatee in its habitat... More

I have traveled up to Tallahassee with my family this week, and we decided to take a visit to Wakulla Springs. We are from the Ocala area of Florida and have lived in Florida all of our lives. We have many springs close by that we enjoy. If you have visited other sprigs, you will realize how nasty and crowded this... More

I visited the park rather late in the day (around 4 pm). There is one last boat ride on the river at 5 pm. The State park rangers are very helpful and informative. We had a state park ranger (I forgot his name, but in mid-20s) who grew up in this area. He was very knowledgeable about local fauna, flora... More

My wife, my two kids (8 and 3), her parents, and I went on the river boat tour. We all loved seeing the gators, the manatees, the turtles, the various birds, and all the rest. We had a great river boat captain, I wish I could remember his name. There were lots of swimmers in the swimming area. We went... More

We enjoyed our day at the State Park. Surprised when we said we were spending the night at the lodge and they let us in the park for free. The boat ride was very interesting. A lot of birds, turtles, alligators and a manatee and baby.

Every time we have friends over from out of town we go here. There is a 'high dive' that you can jump off of and it has great prices for the boat tour

We enjoyed a walk before and after a early dinner at the park. The place is a historic treasure with crafted artwork in every corner from the ironwork on the staircases to the transparencies in brass cases in the walls.

Well, we tried this place under the new management again & the menu has changed. We had the pasta, which was good but more expensive than the Grouper/shrimp platter grilled. The grouper was a flat pre-frozen tasteless mass and we wondered if it was really grouper or a foreign fish. The service was abysmal.

I am so grateful I went to visit Wakulla Springs. A friend suggested it or I would have missed it. The most exciting thing I saw was a mother manatee and twin babies. The babies were a pinky grey color and the water was so clear the colors were not distorted.
