We decided to go a spring to cool off today. This was our 1st time going to Cypress Springs on Homes Creek. We chose Snaggy Bend Outfitters because of all of the different choices for pick up locations. I have to tell you the people were super nice and explained everything perfectly. The spring was probably the most beautiful spring I have seen and living in Panama City I have seen most of the springs in this area. The spring was about 20 minutes from the landing that we launched from. After making it to the spring we decided to spend the entire day there. So we opted for the closet pick up when we were done, which was about 25 minutes down stream from the spring. After we got to the landing we called them and I kid you not they were there to pick us up in less than 5 minutes. We had some much fun that we are planning to go again next week.

Wife and I took this trip after reading the positive reviews. Fantastic customer service and friendly people. We used the tandem kayak for this excursion. Starting point is Cotton Landing, which is less than a mile to Cypress Spring. Cypress Spring is absolutely gorgeous. The water is a very cool 65 degrees, and crystal clear. After we departed Cypress spring, we opted for the long trip, which ends at the Vernon Boat Ramp. The entire float is about 4 miles, so we finished much quicker than we thought we would. There are not many places to stop on this float; not a lot of sand bars like Blackwater. Probably a good idea to stop at Culpepper Landing, if you want to stop for lunch. Overall, this was a very good time, and we will be back.

A very nice place, the people are great. It's a short shuttle to put in and then a short paddle to the spring, the day I went there weren't many people and I had the spring to myself for about 45 minutes. I think it's much busier in the summer! I did the shorter trip because I spent a lot of time at the spring but wish I had left time to do the longer float, next time for sure!

They are now called Cypress Springs Adventures, same address. Was there in June on a Wednesday and arrived at 10AM. Purposefully selected a weekday and morning to avoid the crowds. Heard about this place but had never been there. Wow- what an experience. It really is a little piece of paradise. Yes, the water is cold at 68 degrees. I could never put my head in the water, but that was fine. Hubby and I got to watch the boys. The older one swung from the tarzan rope and it was fun to watch everyone else on the rope. Some crazy guy climbed to the top of the tree and jumped too. All the equipment was good. We had a single and double kayak and a paddleboard. I loved the paddleboard- first time on it and this was the best place for a first-timer. (Son was on the paddleboard from the ramp and I just played on it once we reached the springs). I loved that we had the freedom to do as we wanted. I had looked at Cold Water Excursions and it was going to be $452 for our group of 4. Whoa! That's a lot for 3-4 hours. Going with the kayaks and paddleboard was so much better, and cheaper of course! I think I enjoyed the trip more knowing how much money we saved. The Cold Water folks were there the same time we were. They also left before we did. We opted to do the 5 miles down to the bridge. Didn't think it would be that big of a deal because we do 6-8 miles on a river at home. Well, this 5 miles was super long, lots of down trees and low branches to navigate. Next time we're in PCB, we will def rent again, but we will do the return against the current. Read afterwards that the return against the current is about an hour, much shorter than going to the bridge. The folks got us dropped off just fine at the ramp and we didn't need to wait long for the shuttle to get us back to our car. Excellent time and we were very happy with the rentals and service.

With four adults and two children, they made our kayaking trip down Holmes Creek a memorable experience!
They are very accommodating, super friendly, and did all the work to get you in your vessel (kayak, SUP, canoe, etc) safely.
We had a ball and will be going back !

We rented a two-seater canoe, and they brought us and the canoe to the drop-off point. It was close to Cypress Springs, which is where we were headed, and the pick-up point was even closer. They picked us up, and drove us back to the main location where our car was. It was very convenient, and the guys were nice and helpful.

The Google map satellite view of Cypress Spring triggered our March 2019 visit during a PCB vacation. Weather this time of year was perfect for kayaking (and bug-free). Cool but tolerable water temp was expected since the source for Holmes creek is an underground spring.
Snaggy Bend's rental equipment was in good shape and the rides to and from the adventure were brief because their base business site is conveniently between the drop-off point and the pick-up (we did the springs plus the 4 mile paddle).
Wildlife along the way for us was limited to birds, jumping bass, a few turtles, and one swimming snake. Beyond how nice the folks at Snaggy Bend Outfitters were to us, local boaters with powered craft were also super polite about their reducing their wake.
