great course (6500/6000 yd coures) open fairways, true smoooth greens with challanging undulation.

Enjoyed the beautiful views, green fairways, clean well trimmed bunker, even though there is a lot of building going on the course was quiet to enjoy nature. Club house is huge... read more

We golfed here a few times. Grounds and course are nice, but the some of the staff are rude and condescending. There are other courses in the area with nice grounds and friendlier personnel. Will give it another try in future to see if there are any improvements, but for now, will visit some of my other favorites.

Golf course was in excellent shape when we played. Greens and fairways are top notch. The course is challenging and forgiving at the same time. Pricing was reasonable as we booked through golfnow.

Play this now if you haven't done so, as it is likely to go private in the near future. There are more houses popping up around the course every week, as their sales program is now in full swing, but the course still gives the feeling of wide open spaces. Wide fairways beckon from most tees, but the difficulty factor... More

Sarasota National is one of the latest courses. It is in a WCI (I think) community and they always seem to have great courses. Sarasota National is an exceptional track. Very WIDE fairways. Smooth and true greens. Undulating greens, but rolled very smooth and true. Really enjoyed the round.

Still maturing. Back nine more interesting and challenging. Water hazards common, but no forced carries. Greens not very good and slow, but that is not uncommon in the area. Usually accessible. Reasonable price.

Every time I visit Venice area I make a point to play Sarasota National. Great layout, memorable holes and course in great shape. If you haven't played there in a couple years you need to go back as new owners have cleaned up all the brush that used to line every fairway. You now can see all the lakes that... More

The Sarasota National Golf course is an 18-hole championship course. It is a very open course that has both challenging holes and tricky greens. The course is surrounded by Florida Nature and you can see wildlife, birds, preserves and of course alligators. From your arrival at the bag drop, to the friendly staff in the Pro-Shop to the practice area's... More

Visited Sarasota National during an awesome weekend in February. Booking the tee time was a breeze! The website is much better than other courses. We entered the gate to the Sarasota National development and the security guard had us registered on his check in clip board. Very impressed the the grounds as we drove to the course. We rolled up... Not much grass growing on the fairways, needs to do some growing, then it will be worth the green fees. Will be a good course some day.
