The fishing pier is a treasure to this area. Blessed that “Irma” didn’t take it out. Fun to watch people fish. Or just look down in the water. Sharkey’s is right behind it if you care for a spirit or bite to eat after visiting.

Stroll the pier and sit on a bench and while away the time reading, spotting wildlife, both in the sea and above. Well worth a visit.

We visited Venice pier and adjacent Venice Beach mid-morning. We found the views from the pier to be most inviting.

Fabulous place to walk and see the sunset! We have visited a few times and the expansive view of the ocean is always beautiful. And of course, it has been different every time we have been there. It is a favorite place for us!

I have been here many times and no matter who I bring, they always have an enjoyable experience. There are always fishing and sea birds to watch. Walk to the end of the pier and bring your camera, you won’t be disappointed.

Just a nice, well maintained pier to take a leisurely night stroll. Even better that there is a great place to grab a bite or drink at the beginning of it. Just drink before you get on the pier. (No alcohol allowed)

Great fishing pier or you can just take a walk on the pier and take in the views, watch the sunset or check out the fish being caught!

They have all you need there and it is free admission to the pier if you don't want to fish. Such a great beach and such an easy going atmosphere.

Definitely worth to have a look, nice views over the coastal line and to make a nice walk during sun set.

You are able to rent gear on the pier but depending on how much fishing/how many days/people you may want to bring your own. I also felt like bait prices were a bit high.

Parking price at Venice Beach or Venice Fishing Pier ? (5 Replies)
Hello, do you know how much cost the car parking at Venice Beach or Venice Fishing Pier for an hour/day ? And Santa Monica Pier ? Can we stay half day instead or full day ? If full day, can we exit and re-enter ? Thanks a lot.

We parked near Santa Monica Pier and paid $7, I'm pretty sure that was for the day (though we only stayed for a couple of hours). I think it varies throughout the year - that was in November. I think if you left and came back you'd have to pay again - but I can't remember the system exactly, so that may not be the case.

We just returned from Siesta Key. This was our second trip there. Overall it was a very nice trip. I was surprised by the amount of seaweed in the ocean and washing up on shore. Also there seemed to be alot of litter on the beach , which I do not remember from last year. We had great meals except for The lobster Pot. We ordered lobster bisque and was asked if we wanted extra chunks of lobster for 4$ more. We said no little did we know there were no chunks of lobster in the bisque itself. So if...More

What place did you stay at?From the pictures I've seen online, it looks like there's more seaweed around Crescent Arms area of the beach, compared to the public beach.Seaweed or not - I love Siesta Key beach ! Hope you had a great time.
