Our oldest son was married this past September on Vanderbilt beach. He and his wife had beautiful pictures taken on this beach after the ceremony. The red tide had been an issue the week before, but it was clean and sparkling in time for the...More

There is a parking garage within walking distance. Food options close. Restroom facilities near the entrance. Rentals of lounging options and water activities. Showers. Great place to hangout. Take a dip. Relax. Watch the sunset.

I was so excited to see the famous crystal clear blue waters and powdery sand that the SW of Florida is known for and was highly disappointed when I encountered nothing even remotely close to that - the water was cloudy. I am going to...More

Yes...red tide is in the Naples area but we were on this gorgeous beach on a day that it wasn't felt or seen (no dead fish and no coughing). Clean, beautiful greenish blue water - the sand is like powder and isn't hot!! We went...More

I've visited here many times and typically love it - but unfortunately the Red Tide is really a downer for the experience. Respiratory issues aside, you couldn't 3 or 4 feet without seeing a dead fish at the high tide mark.....Annoyance aside, it's just sad...More

No address, it's a beach. Look up beach front hotels and public parking. We parked privately for $10 but ne beach fees (like in New Jersey).

Please Advice (2 Replies)
We are coming to Naples for 8 days in July. We are going to rent a house or condo. We love to be close by the beach and spend the whole day there, swimming and walking. Do you advice us to stay by the Pier or Vanderbilt Beach? Shall we look for a place that offers bikes, is bike riding something that shouldn't be missed? Thank you very much in advance!!

Have rented a home on Heron. The owner is Scott. Stayed there twice and enjoyed it. Nice location on lagoon, nice furnishings and pretty well equipped.

Marco Island or Vanderbilt Beach canal home rental in Feb. (4 Replies)
Trying to decide on several canal homes -- We are not big night life folks, but do enjoy good food & drink. Looking for nice places to walk dogs and bike. I'd love to know what the pros & cons of marco Isl vs Vanderbilt beach area are. We also will be golfing. This will be a month long trip. Thanks in advance!

You will find more municipal and executive public golf courses in the Vanderbilt Beach area. There are affordable options close to Marco though. Marco is a great area to ride bikes. If you are not bringing your own, the Island Bike shop is great. They will deliver rentals for you. I see people walking dogs on Marco a lot. I seem to recall a post on here about a dog park?? You may want to search this forum. There isn't much of a nightlife on Marco. However, there are plenty of places to get...More
