About Florida Keys Flats Fishing
Hello and welcome to Florida Keys Shallow Water Flats Fishing. Are you ready to fish the gin clear flats of Islamorada, Key Largo and the Everglades in the Florida Keys? Come on down! I'm an amicable and patient guide who will work hard to make your day on the water a success. I have lived and fished in the Keys for over 38 years and have been guiding fisherman just like you on the flats of the Florida Keys for over 30 of those years. Whether you choose to fish for tailing bonefish and redfish or giant tarpon, I assure you an enjoyable, interesting and exciting day in the Florida Keys. Though I primarily sight fish for these gamefish, we can fish for easier targets as well if your skills are not as high as your expectations. For the novice fisherman, I'll provide friendly fly fishing or light spinning tackle instruction. For the accomplished angler I can help to fine tune your casting skills. Expert? Our game fish should provide quite the thrill and challenge you're looking for.

My wife and I had a fantastic day sight fishing for bonefish with Capt. Barry. He worked hard to put us on fish and was very patient when we blew a cast. Catching my first ever bonefish was a real adrenaline rush. It was a fun day and a great learning experience. Capt. Barry’s laid back approach made us very comfortable making for a very enjoyable experience. We highly recommend Barry as a guide and would definitely use him again.

We had an excellent time with Barry! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with me when I was learning how to cast. Barry shared lots of interesting facts about the local wildlife and vegetation. I’m hoping he’s available on our next trip down! We enjoyed our time together immensely!

Capt Barry was a class act! professional from start to finish! My husband and I went down to the keys for an impromptu baby moon and naturally didn’t plan anything until we got down. Originally Barry was all booked but maintained communication with me and was able to accommodate our request for a morning out on the water to bend some rods. The skiff capt barry operates on was comfy smooth and the Everglades we rode through was beautiful. Great morning out on the water and capt barry put us on the fish every time! Highly recommend, you won’t regret it!

Even though the weather wasn't great, I still had an amazing time with Captain Barry. He made suggestions of what to do and where to fish, but always listened to what I wanted. He gave great instruction and was patient and an overall great guide. I would definitely use him again.

We cannot say enough about Capt Barry! We went to the Keys for the specific purpose of letting my 84 yr old Dad fish a few days. My husband talked to several guides, explained the physical limitations and Barry was comfortable with being able to make this a positive experience for him. Day 1 he put them on a slew of fish. Dad came back to the marina grinning like crazy and telling all the fish stories. Day 2 he took them where they could get some quality over quantity, helping my husband get not only the snook he's been chasing for 25 years but a Back Country Slam. He knew how to let my dad bait-fish and my husband fly-fish and both catch fish & have fun. My dad had one of the best fishing trips of his life, and he's been fishing since he was a little kid! Barry made him feel not physically limited, but respected, happy and alive. If you want a guide that knows the local water, can match you with the fishing you want to do, and is a guy you want to hang out with for a few days, this is the guide for you!
