We took a sunset cruise in December. It was a beautiful evening. There were about 10 passengers and 2 crew on the boat.
Included in the $55+ tax per person cruise charge were beer, soda, rum punch, juice, and water as well as appetizers from a local restaurant (wings, tacos, conch fritters). Food and drinks were delicious. I recommend the Islander Girl Punch (rum and fruit juices, not too sweet).
Hannah also served as a photographer for anyone wanting photos taken. Sky, our captain took us for a 2 hour cruise. They gave us key facts about the area, its attractions and history, as well as information on local plants and animals.
We met some really nice people on the boat and everyone on board seemed to enjoy the cruise. It was a particularly clear evening and the sunset was lovely.
I would highly recommend a sunset cruise with Islander Girl...

Thank you Kelly for writing this detailed review, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. The sunset cruise is my favorite tour, it is relaxing and the food always hits the spot. We love cruising to the bayside to watch the sunset and the view is killer! We hope next time you visit Islamorada you come out with us again!

Sky and Hannah were very professional and conducted a through safety review before we left the dock. While we have snorkeled many times, there were some beginners on board, and it was good to see this team review basics of snorkeling in a way that put everyone at ease. The initial goal was to snorkel near the Alligator reef lighthouse, but it was a bit windy and the wave conditions were challenging. Sky made a great call, and extended our boat ride to a location with less wave action, and we snorkeled on the "doughnut reef", a roughly circular formation near the protected sanctuary area. Perfect for snorkeling, with a huge amount of area to explore in the hour that we had. We saw a turtle, a group of 6 barracuda, hundreds of reef fish, and a very large moray eel near the front wall of the reef! Back on board, we were greeted with rum punch and great conversations about what we had all seen. An added benefit of this trip is that you can take advantage of the amenities at the Islander resort - I can recommend the tuna salad at the Tiki Bar by the pool! We also took a walk around the beautiful landscaping at the resort, which was just fantastic. Really great value here - highly recommend supporting this female-owned business!

Thoroughly enjoyed our snorkeling excursion with Islander Girls, especially with Captain Skye and First Mate Hannah. Despite having to travel to the secondary site in the bay among the mangroves due to high winds preventing a trip to the coral reef, this excursion was well worth it. Most of that can be credited to Skye and Hannah and their welcoming warmth and high energy positive attitudes. They had lots of interesting information; we saw some unique fish and a stingray; and they had adult and non adult beverages and snacks for the ride back. The young business is owned and operated by an all female staff and they’re making it work despite the challenges from COVID. Everything was exceptionally clean and they took all precautions and limited the number of patrons per trip with social distancing for anyone who is concerned. Also included is a day pass at the Islander Resort which had an expansive beach and nice pools and a decent restaurant where I was finally able to try my first Cubano sandwich.

Sky and her crew were fun and informative! We were staying at the Islander Resort and it was a great value - good customer service, convenient, and easy to book and disembark. They took special care to allow guests to be socially distant and COVID safe without making things stuffy or stiff. First mate Hannah flexed her Keys knowledge sharing fun facts with the guests about geography, ecology, and history. Gear was clean and the crew provided fresh towels and refreshments to guests to cap off snorkeling. This women-owned business is a top destination in Keys - don’t miss it!

Halley, thank you for the review. We make sure to operate at 50% capacity (by choice) to make sure our guest feel safe and comfortable. Hannah loves sharing her knowledge and passion regarding the Florida keys. The towels always are a nice touch! We appreciate you taking the time to write this detailed review.

First - Liz and Erin were amazing! Sea was a little rough, however the team navigated the boat to anchorage right next to the coral reef. Lots of fish including barracuda and two sea turtles. Definitely would recommend.

We had a group do the snorkeling trip and it was fantastic. Hannah and the other young lady did a great job of telling us about the trip, taking us to a great site and ensuring we were fully refreshed with adult beverages on the return trip. They also played some great music. Tonight we are going back for the sunset cruise. Can’t wait.

WE took the boat to Alligator Reef for some snorkeling. This was an excellent choice out of the many options available for excursions from Islamorada. Everything from gear to safety to staff were first rate. The waters were a little choppy and murky, which mad the fish less vibrant but I'm not going to blame that on IGST! They really did their jobs and worked hard for us. Lisa and Ashly were absolute pros. They maximized our time right down to the minute as we left and returned to the dock with almost zero time wasted. I love it when our time is respected like that. Nothing was wasted (not even the punch). I recommend getting on the boat early by getting in line on the dock as soon as you get registered at the desk. This way you can can choose your seats back by the bridge so you can spend time talking with the crew on the way out and back. You'll get a ton of snorkel and local tips along with the advantage of being first in the water as one ladder is back there. Also, the there's a lot of spray coming off the bow that can be uncomfortably chilly even on warm days. They actually do provide everything you'll need so bring only personal stuff that can get wet or is protected from the spray. Enjoy the ride and the water.

The Islander Girl team did a terrific job of making sure that everyone on board enjoyed the trip. It was too rough to safely go to the sandbar so we found another shallow spot to anchor for some swimming. It was a great time. We brought our own drinks but they offered drinks and snacks, water and were so accommodating.

We chose the Islander Girls because we loved the idea of supporting a woman owned business in the boating industry. Prices were fair and we later found they also do a military/first responder discount. The Islander Resort has a beautiful beach which you can use after the tour. There were only 9 of us on our morning trip, so it felt almost like a private charter compared to “cattle car”trips we’ve been on previously. We got to go to two spots, Cheeca Rocks and Donut Hole, based on the low number of passengers. Saw beautiful fish, turtles, a ray, etc. Fantastic! After we were done snorkeling they welcomed us back on the boat with drinks (water, soda, beer, and rum punch) as well as dry towels and fruit for each of us (nice touch!). A great morning with Sky and Hannah, who were delightful hosts.

Loved our snorkel tour so much that we went again later in the week. The Captain and crew were very safety conscious while working hard to give us the best snorkel experience possible given each day's weather and visibility. Thank you to Liz, Sarah, Sydney, and Hannah. They went out of their way to make our 2 trips fun and I watched them go out of their way to encourage those who were hesitant or needing assistance.

How many passengers on the snorkel boat?

Just one drink included in the snorkel tour ? This mama doesn’t really snorkel but likes to enjoy the scenery and indulge in a beverage. My family all snorkels
