A little rough in spots, but nice course
Jul 2021
Played this morning with my brother; he lives in Dunedin and I live in Sarasota County about 2 hours south. We had played this course long time ago (like 40+ years) and decided to go back. Nice staff, course is in pretty good shape, reasonably priced. Plenty of contours on the fairways with some elevated tees and raised greens. Greens mostly in excellent condition except for a few rough spots here and there. Greens were quite fast with some challenging breaks. Some very wet spots in a few places from summer rains/tropical weather but easy to navigate around for the most part. We'll be back.

Challenging course.
Feb 2020
A busy course during the “snowbird” season. While walker through the parking lot, I counted 10 different states plus Canada.
The course was over seeded and the greens were ok. Sone of the pin placements were on slopes where they provide shouldn’t have been. Still though had a good time with friends.

Quite Enjoyable
Feb 2019 • Couples
Just visiting our friends who live nearby, we set out yesterday and played 18 holes. We enjoyed every one of them. Afterwards we went into the snack bar for a beer and a bite of lunch. The course is in good shape, the staff is attentive and we felt we got good value for the price.

Wow ! a Great Improvement !
Jul 2018
Over twenty years I have played this course many times, but I had not played it for the past two years.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the course has been improved significantly since I last played this layout.
The greens are excellent and have full plush surfaces that play at about an 8 on a Stemp meter . They do have subtle breaks and tend to crown away from the middle so you need to have your flat stick under control.

The fairways now have good grass coverage whereas at one time they were covered with sandy bare patches. Big improvement !
The course layout is a challenge to play position golf if you hope to score well. It has dog legs left and right , large elevation changes for a Florida course and requires shots across water on two holes on the back nine. Traps are near the greens and not in the fairways so that helps you keep a tee ball out of a hazard.
The course has four sets of tees to accomodate golfers of all skills and they are well maintained. . They range from 4886 yards on the red tees to 6069 yards from the blue tips with the white tees playing 5729 and the gold tees 5145..
They have newer golf carts that are smooth and comfortable and several water coolers which our threesome appreciated on the 94 degree day we played.
The course super should be lauded for this maintenance work.
It was $ 29.00 for 18 holes with cart which is a little bit high for Florida courses in the off season. It does offer value for the money.

On a side note I missed the monkey squirrels that used to be a fixture on the course and I wondered if they have become extinct.. They were clever at stealing your lunch !

We did not try the clubhouse fare so I cannot comment on this aspect of the facility.
I think you will enjoy the challenge of this golf course as you test your course management skills. It is a course that you can score on if you play it well between your ears !

Awful Staff

I've never been treated as poorly as I was here, at ANY business ANYWHERE. This was my first time on a golf course, and I did not know you had to be in a polo. They let me know they would let it slide this time as I was in a tank top, and I apologized and told them it was my first time. My two friends purchased their carts and playing time, I purchased only a rider admission because I had chosen not to play. We were only on our third hole before someone come to lecture us about our "rule breaking behavior" which was essentially me being accused of golfing, which was not a correct assessment because I was only helping pick up the balls on the side, which I stated to the employee. He said that was fine, but we still needed another golf bag for a second player. He then proceeded to lecture my friends that if they are going to golf then they need to be aware of the rules and how "unfair" we are being to the other players, by not letting them pass us. At this point we were upset because we had let ANYONE even yards away approaching us pass us, and we had patiently waited for everyone as we knew we were slow. One of the employees brought us a second bag of clubs, which was very nice, we thanked him profusely, which turned out to be left handed clubs my friend couldn't even use. Not sure if that was supposed to be funny? So not even 15 minutes pass before I guess the manager comes by us and says "if I keep getting calls about you guys I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." And then he just drove away from us. Excuse me, calls about what? We had not interacted with a single person except the staff, and we had apologized to them and tried to oblige by their rules. It is not often I come on company pages to write 1 star reviews. I'd give 0 if I could. If you are inexperienced at all, do NOT come here. The staff will embarrass you no matter how polite you are trying to be and then threaten to kick you out! Money wasted!

Fun course to play.

Since we now live in Tarpon Springs I have visited this course frequently. It is so much more fun to play than all the other courses in the area. You can let the big dog eat on most of the holes and the greens are smooth and undulating. Now that's golf !

I hate to be the snobby northern golfer but here goes anyways. This course was very close to our home rental and first full day we had a nice time on their driving range. That said we decided to play 18 without a tee time but there was not a good time to slot us in. No worries we decided to hit balls again as the starter still had leagues to get out as well. I was surprised thy had leagues. Later the starter got us out with another twosome. They were very nice guys enjoyed their company very much. 9 holes was enough on a very windy day in late February. On a down side I felt the cost was high compared to the course conditons.

Reasonable price for a reasonable course!

I would probably go 3.5 stars over 4 but definitely more than 3 stars. I have a Paradise Card and while the course isn’t listed as a member they do honour the card with a small discount. I paid $36 with cart. The course is pretty good. It is wide open with some trees and water on some holes. Expect to score slightly better than your handicap although not much. It is a deceivingly fun course.

I was visiting from Canada and made good use of the driving range and played a few nines. Very easy people to get along with, I was alone but placed with others without difficulty. A fun course similar to the one I play back home.
