My family and I booked a Dolphin Watching/Island Stop cruise. We have been to Tarpon Springs before but never taken a cruise. We had an absolutely amazing time!!!! Check in was flawless, cruise was extremely affordable, our hosts Captain Rob and Rick were so polite and professional. They were very honest up front about the possibility of not seeing any dolphins but they would do their best and engaged the help of passengers, especially the kids, in yelling out when they saw dolphins so everyone could look in a general vicinity to try and spot them. They are wild animals and don't appear when people want them to and there were alot of boats on the water so they tend to stay clear of the boat traffic. We were lucky to see about 6 of them on our way out to Anclote Key and at least 1 on the way back to the dock. The cruise out to the Island was educational thanks to Rick who was very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area as well as Greek history and Pirate History in Tarpon Springs and the surrounding area. It was such a pleasure listening to him and we learned some pretty interesting things. When we got to the the island, it was pretty busy with other locals that were partying there. We were given a bucket to collect shells and given 30 minutes which was plenty of time. We found some amazing shells as well as sponges that had washed up onshore. My kids are in their late teens and early 20's but they LOVED it as much as I did! They do offer a variety of snacks and drinks (including Margaritas and Rum Runners but I recommend purchasing tickets for drinks in advance when you check in for the cruise as it is much cheaper than paying once you get on board. I also recommend taking the earliest cruise (10:30-12:30 I believe) as it was not crowded and we were very comfortable being able to have our own space sitting on board. When we arrived back at the dock there was a VERY large crowd waiting for the next trip. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend them for a fun family or couple's outing. Extremely affordable and just so much fun!

We went on the sunset cruise. Of course, the clouds came in right at sunset but we still got some good pictures! We also recommend buying your tickets online because if you wait until the day of you might not get on the boat. Our granddaughter got a lot of great shells and we really enjoyed the captains as they shared tidbits on the way out and on the way back in and yes, we did see one dolphin! The captains were concerned about our safety all the time and even when there were rude people they handled with grace. Thanks for the experience and we hope to bring other grandkids back out!

I was part of a one-day bus tour to Tarpon Springs today. Arrived at designated load out dock at the Sponge Dock, which was equipped with ample & well-maintained restrooms, necessary prior to boarding. Open-air & oversize pontoon boat was our transportation for the day. Onboard bar was also an amenity for the trip. We filled the boat, departed & traversed the Anclote River to Anclote Key Island. All passengers disembarked for an approximate 40 minute opportunity to shell near the shoreline around the island. Baskets were furnished to aid in the shell gathering. We returned to the sponge docks after our shell hunting expedition. I did not find any large shells today, although I filled my bucket with colorful smaller ones. Unfortunately, we did not see any dolphins a on our ingress/egress trips to the island. I am sure that is a random opportunity & am confident they exist and is purely a timing opportunity when you go. Our guide Rick & Captain Rob were stellar individuals who represented Odyssey Cruises very well. The narration throughout the trip was awesome & I’d highly recommend that you take this cruise when you go to Tarpon Springs.

If you go to their website, you will see that they offer River Cruises for $10.99 for adults and senior, $9.99 for children and the calendar has the whole month of November open. I booked a river cruise for Monday, Nov. 15 online; it was confirmed and they charged my card.
The next day I called to add a friend and the woman on the other end of the phone confirmed I was me and a “plus one.”
Today I called to add another person and they told me they don’t have a record of me, they don’t offer those cruises, and no one ever talked to me. After I said I had screen shots of their online form as well as them taking the money from my card on my statement, the woman who said she’d never spoken to me said she’d look into it and call me back.
She called back to say I had indeed paid and they would give me a refund. She was very rude, said she had no idea how I had managed to book that cruise (like it’s my fault they don’t control their website), never apologized or offered me anything for my inconvenience and in fact hung up on me while I was still speaking.
They gave me a number to send my screenshots and I got back a message that this number didn’t accept texts. I couldn’t find an email address so I used their contact form to complain about the rudeness. Someone replied that they had no idea what I was talking about.
As I am writing this you can still go on their website and book a weekday River Cruise. Too incompetent to get the site fixed? Too lazy? Just don’t care?
I’m amazed these jerks have managed to stay in business.

We parked and boarded easy. Boat had 30 people but wasn't crowded. It was only $25.99 for Seniors. Nice shade on boat. First mate had alot of dad jokes. Anclote Island had VERY FEW shells. My sis walked 10 minutes shelling and didn't hear boat whistle. I rang her cell and she said she was with a group from the boat. I explained they weren't with our boat. So she hurried as fast as her knee surgery would let her. Granted she WAS 5 minutes late. The first mate came on board and pointed to my sis and said "she didn't care 30 people were waiting". Embarrassing and unnecessary and Untrue. She was nearly in tears. One lady yelled viciously at her to "hurry up!" The tour was supposed to be over at 12:30, but we were in our car going down the street at 12:30, so we hardly made anyone LATE. People. If you've NEVER missed a deadline, then bitch all you want. But one of these days my sister, who is Uber religious, won't be there to stop me from adjusting some tween attitudes. On vacation, means relax and chill, for pity sake. Get over your self righteous attitude.

We went to take the boat at 2:15, made the line to get in first so we could get a shade since we had a 7 month old baby and the lady who was boarding the people said we HAD to sit under the sun since we had a stroller. Considering we had a baby, it was 2:05 and the temperature was 80 plus degrees…. we tried to tell her we were going to sit on the very end corner to not bother anyone but just so the baby didn’t have to be 1 whole hour under the sun, but she just kept on saying no and then after everyone else got on board and sat, baby was terribly crying with that heat, then she said she could make people get up to and have us sit on their spots, of course NOT! Why would you make a baby cry and have to argue on such thing instead of being kind and just prioritize it? After we said we wanted our money back then she was just laughing at us. Seriously worst service ever, can’t believe her attitude and how disrespectful she was. Would NEVER EVER take this boat

The drinks were watered down. The captain or tour guide, so to speak, joked around so much that we couldn’t tell what was fact and what wasn’t, and that’s a big deal for us because we truly wanted to learn something on this excursion. We only spent a small amount of time at the beach they brought us to; we should’ve spent more time there to truly make what we paid for worth it. There wasn’t much to see either on the actual boat ride. Overall, this isn’t worth anyone’s time. When you come to Tarpon Springs, just head to the beach on your own, and eat at a Greek restaurant.

So glad we chose this tour! Best in town
Did some research and saw the other popular company cancelled people’s tours at the last minute. Also - this cruise had a naturalist on board who was a wealth of information.
Dolphin sightings , visit to the island and seashells to collect.
Few things to note — we booked online and it says just show up 30 minutes before and have email confirmation.
Actually you need to check in at the Odyssey booth and get a ticket. Also they sell drink coupons there. On board the drinks are a bit more expensive and they only take cash. Large lot to park in - cost was $5 for the day
Great guide and boat captain! Classy operation!

Absolutely wonderful experience!! Celebrating our mom's 85th birthday. Weather was gorgeous, a perfect sunset, and the dolphins came up to play as the sun was setting. The crew was above and beyond accommodating and interactive with the perfect Spotify playlist.

Absolutely wonderful!! Our party of six went out on a Sunday sunset cruise with three 11 year old boys. The cruise was the perfect length of time. It took about 30 minutes to get out to Anclote Key. We were given a good 40 minutes to walk around with our sturdy shell collection baskets. Upon returning we were given bags to take our shells home in. On the way back the captain was on the lookout for dolphins, which he was able to spot and give us a tip to encourage them to resurface. The captain and retired teacher/ marine biologist were both informative and entertaining. The water and weather were spectacular that day! I would definitely take this cruise again.
