Boating spot

Large park with big trees, shaded pick nic
areas and rest rooms. There is a huge boat ramp with lots of parking and for $6 you can launch and have a great day on the water fishing or cruising. There are alligators so I would not want to swim there but we saw people doing that.

Lovely, but no alligator sightings
Mar 2021
Peaceful and beautiful park at Lake Tarpon. Beautiful trees, flowers, birds, walkways, only thing better was if we'd spotted an alligator or two.

Nice park. Pet friendly. Along lake tarpon. Easy to find. Has a trail, with benches, and swings. Has different size pavilions with bbqs.

Pretty park
Feb 2021
We visited the park a couple of times during our stay at the local KOA. The park is perfect to walk or run. The trail meanders along the lake with a pretty boardwalk. This park has a HUGE dog park at the top of the hill. We took our lab there both times we visited and he spent over and hour each time exploring. We saw plenty of birds, flora and a baby gator (from the boardwalk). Just a beautiful places to spend some quiet time.

Nice for quaint picnic on lake

Ok park. Nice quaint picnic areas on Lake Tarpon. Hiking trails not too impressive. Most of the hike was on the road.

This is a lovely park... Nice boardwalk trail next to the lake and also wooded trails. Picnic area, boat launching area. Spend 15 minutes or several hours...

Late afternoon walk

The park is very well maintained from parking, pavilions, paths, tables and grounds. There is a walking path from pavilion one to the back end of park. Through trees and on a Boardwalk along lake. The are out cropings from path with tables to sit right by waters edge. Very peaceful walk with nice scenery. Great place to picnic also has a launch point for boats. I was able to spot four alligators in the lake on my visit. There is swings for kids and ample trash cans around to keep park clean. Not a long walking path maybe 1/2 mile at most so hiking is not happening here. This is a relax, see view, go for a stroll hang out and have picnic place. Does all that very well.

The moment was absolutely perfect. I felt as though I was a child again exploring Suriname with my family in December, boating out to a private island to fish for piranhas. I felt I was taken back to simpler times when I felt that I had the best life imaginable, and I was invincible because I was wrapped in a bubble of love by my family. My analytical mind took a breather, and I was finally able to just BE…in the present moment…and feel bliss. I felt safe, secure, comfortable, and at peace. What a delightful moment that I intend to treasure for a lifetime. Anderson park really provided a great atmosphere… I very much look forward to visiting again.
