The winery is owned by an eccentric older couple that treat the tasting as if they were having you over to their living room. They tell stories about their lives, the wine, and the extensive art collection that adorns their small winery. This wine tasting is unique and filled with colorful characters. The "chocolate paradise" tasting came with 4 wine... More

Eight of us ventured to the Castle Winery for a wine and chocolate tasting. The vintner and his wife were our hosts. The easy, relaxed tone of the tour made us feel as if we were sitting in their living room as their guests. After tasting and learning about 4 different wines, we enjoyed a glass of our favorite wine... More

My friend and I purchased a Groupon for this winery. I was very excited to go. Excuse my friend is moving at the end of the month and this was a girls night out. We got there after and hour drive to have the owner Lady open the door and ask what we were doing there. We said we had... More

My wife and I have been to wineries all over the world. And this was a unique experience. Not fancy, not pretentious but if you understand the difference between European wines and California wines you'll appreciate Caste Winery. Yes, the owners are not dressed in fancy clothes and the winery is a "down home" look. But the owners know their... More

We purchased a wine tasting package and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our host and hostess were delightful and their wines are excellent. In the European tradition, tastings start with the red wines and then progress to the whites. They have been making wine since the 1970's and have perfected their craft. The owners have collected excellent artwork and are happy... More

This is not even close to your typical winery tour. The wife Diane was in a house coat and the winemaker Joseph was in shorts. The wine was organic and were very average at best!!! Surprisingly, the art work was outstanding!!! This is so weird of experience that it's truly hard to describe!!!

We were here this past weekends with a couple of our friends. This was our second visit. Last year, we did the winery tour/ tasting and thoroughly enjoyed it. This year we came for the "How to Be A Wine Snob" tasting. It was even more enjoyable. It's not your usual wine tasting but that is what we liked about... More

$26 for a wine tasting and glass of wine. Horrible experience, ripoff all the way around. Very friendly while showing their "art" , then turned evil when questioned about price. Avoid at all costs.

It's not your typical winery tour/tasting, but we really enjoyed our visit to Castle Winery. The owners are "one of a kind" and we really enjoyed their wine. No vineyards, but well worth the visit.

The wife/owner was pushy and seemed frustrated with us that we just stopped by without reservations. We tasted the merlot but it was thin and lacked full flavor and body. The chocolate is a small box of Russell Stover's if that gives you an indication of the quality provided. We didn't pay for a tasting, which comes with the experience... More
