Went to see a concert in the Summer time. Went an Hour early to get in and the lines were not moving. Finally figured out why, the security lines were taking forever. They had all 25,000 concert goers waiting for 6 metal detectors. Next time...More

Was in Amalies Arena twice recently and what a great experience. Beautiful facility, very well designed for the 17,000+ people that were in attendance and all the service staff were helpful and friendly. Looking forward to my next visit.

Went to see Barry Manilow and it was the best concert. Amalie was easy to access and enter not to mention getting out. The Tampa police kept traffic moving smoothly. The only thing was $6.75 for a 16oz bottle of Sprite was a little ridiculous.

Went for a Lightning game and really enjoyed it. Please is convenient, but of course you have to pay. We had seats all the way at the top - you could not get further from the ice. Still, we had a great view of all...More

Parking is close and nice freeway access. Food and drink prices are absurd but nice venue. Very clean and helpful friendly staff. After a concert took 15 minutes to get on freeway from parking lot. Thats huge.

The arena is great and the personnel very friendly and helpful. All concessions are pricey when compared to other venues I have been to.

Tampa is a beautiful clean city and the walk to the arena by the waterfront is unique and beautiful. The arena parking ranges from what I saw $12.00 to $25.00. Many wonderful police officers on duty and the arena service staff is excellent. I ordered...More

Parking by Amalie Arena 2018 (2 Replies)
I plan to go to Amalie Arena on August 4th, looking for either surface parking or parking garage. Plan to arrive by 4pm...I see some surface area parking lots want me to pre-pay, but I am not sure if this is a scam? They don't even guarantee there will be an attendant there to make sure I do get the spot that I paid for. Help? I see a similar thread, but it is 3 years old and there has been some development. Is this area safe to walk at night? thank you.

Transportation Question to Downtown Tampa (5 Replies)
A group are attending an event at Amalie Arena but want to stay on the beach. We are thinking St. Pete Beach or Clearwater Beach. I have never been to Clearwater Beach but have been to St. Pete. Now for my question: I believe it will be about 40 minutes to get downtown but is taxi/limo service difficult to find? We like to listen to live music in the evenings ie like at the Beachcomber. If posters have other ideas, I welcome them as well.

with traffic, it will be closer to an hour from either St Pete or Clearwater to downtown Tampa. You'd probably have to phone for a taxi.

Big Red Brigade - Day 12 - Busch Gardens & NHL Game (2 Replies)
Got up nice and early to hit the road to Busch Gardens. I4 was clear, weather was great and we got the entrance gate for 9am...only to find out it opened at 10am! Great! 60 mins later, we heard the national anthem and we were on our way round to Sheikra...well we would have been but they don't open the backlog the park until 10:30am! For goodness sake! Jumped on Gwazi which is ridiculously rickety!!! Then walked round to Sheikra. This is a great ride with two 90 degree drops! Jumped on...More
