Lettuce Lake Park opened in 1982 and quickly became a hub of activities. The 240-acre site offers something for everyone. Wooded picnic areas and a playground are family favorites. A 1.25 mile bicycle path/jogging trail, complete with a fitness course, meander through the park. Lettuce Lake is also a haven to study nature. An interpretive center, featuring exhibits, leads to a 3,500-foot boardwalk and an observation tower where visitors can view an extensive variety of wildlife. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent to visitors to experience a wholenew side of the Park.

Visited with my aunts that are from Arizona and Utah. Walked around for about 2 hours and saw a small alligator and a black snake. Very pretty views.

a great place to wander the trails and observe wildlife - the elevated walks keep the feet dry & the critters at bay

We love the boardwalks, playground, paved biking/rollerblading paths, and nature center. Great place for birthday parties and homeschool get-togethers. Only $2 to get in, at least that's what it was the last time we went.

What Florida truly looks like! Take the kayaking/canoeing down the river and see that this state is more than just beaches. Prepare to see a lot of alligators! No worries though, leave them alone, they'll leave you alone.
