South Tampa is located on the peninsula as MacDill AFB. It has an abundance of architecture including classic tract home from the early 1960 to beautiful upscale multi-million dollar homes. It also has excellent shopping and dining. It is a sprawling area and things are quite spread out. It also boasts the world longest continuous side walk.

Been here all my life and can't get enough of South Tampa. Lots to see and explore, with lots of history in between. The homes are fantastic and beautiful. Don't forget to visit Bayshore while in South Tampa.

There is so much to do in South Tampa. There are a lot of restaurants, shops, and sites to see. I would recommend spending time here when visiting Tampa.

Best place to live in Tampa as far as we locals are concerned! A small town in a big city! Great schools, restaurants, health, shopping and more!

We have a friend who lives here in S Tampa. He invited us to stay, so we did. This was a very nice area. There were all sorts of restaurants, shops, and the Gulf was just in the backyard! There were multiple good fishing spots. I wanted to move here myself!

Way too much traffic for the amount of street. Too many apartments. After 22 years, moved to St Pete on the water. Much better way to live.

Horrible service! Rudest front desk person on the planet. I scheduled a 90-minute relaxation massage. It wasn't until after my massage was over and I went to pay did they tell me that they don't do 90 minute relaxation massages or that the price was going to be more than double what you would pay for a 1 hour massage!... If you are hungry there are no shortages of restaurants here. They come in every price range and type of food and chain and family style. The shopping can be very expensive in this area with International Mall and West Shore Mall close. The penny wise locals may walk in these malls but will not usually buy here as the... More

South Tampa is great place to visit and/or live. Everything one needs is very close. You can be in downtown for an event in ten minutes the reverse is also true when you want to return home. A large number of the best restaurants in Tampa are in or very close to S. Tampa
