There are lots of homeless people in these parks and they are not safe to walk in or jog in alone. Even with mace or a dog...skip it alone!

short shady walk. lots of flowers. no picnic areas. no playground that I recall. This was a man's private garden and it was donated to the county.

The park includes a short trail which is almost entirely boardwalk through cypress swamp. It's a beautiful walk. There are also some nice gardens near the front, including a small greenhouse with some unique plants (quite a collection of ferns). There are different spots to...More

Worth the drive, nice, peaceful park with very nice plants and flowers. The boardwalk is very interesting, not too long, not too short. The parking is no longer on the honor system, a machine collects your money and spits out a ticket.

Beautiful day and a beautiful park. We found information online and agree that it's not only a very peaceful place, but one of nature's showcases. Walks can be on sidewalks or on shell covered paths or on a wonderful wooden bridge that zigzags through the...More

This was our first time here, and we already look forward to returning in Spring. Lovely boardwalk , and also shell paved paths through pretty gardens. We got to see many lovely flowers, even in Dec. Lots of fall foliage, unique plants, a walk through...More

The park was clean and well labeled. The springs are small, but were flowing. The elevated walkway was well built. The water level seems to be controlled as the understory was dominated by invasive species. We would suggest Lettuce Lake Park as a better example...More

This was a fun little park to walk through. The foliage is lovely. It was quiet. It had rained and everything was green.

Perhaps in the north of the state. We only start getting rolling hills around the Ocala area. South of there, the state is flat. Maybe you could google state parks with lakes to find the answer.

Yes dogs are allowed on a leash. We brought our little pug and walked all around but we also carry doggie bags just in case and picked up after her. You will enjoy the walk and so will your pup. Have fun!

The entire grounds are lushly planted, so something is sure to be in blossom. Various shades of green are going to be the predominant color. Remember, this is Florida; it's already getting hot. There is an air conditioned... More
