All tours are by appointment only. Every tour, large or small feels like a personal experience. There is no office to find. We meet in a public park and begin training and tour from there. We specialize in human being Segway Experiences. We've trained humans of all shapes, sizes and ages. We prefer to train the individual and let their physical ability guide them through the process. Individuals previously thought inable to ride a Segway have found great success (and fun) riding with us. We specialize in people with physical challenges. Some of the individuals we've training have challenges such as: Autism, Downs Syndrome, Prosthesis & Short Stature (Dwarfism) We offer xceptional Segway tours for exceptional people! Our family had a GREAT time on the Electric Glide Segway Tour! Two adults and two upper-teen kids toured Ybor. We do lots of Segway tours in different cities and this was definitely one of the most fun. Our guide, Ramon, was very personable, fun, and kept the tour entertaining. We learned a lot about Ybor history. The Segways were in great shape, Ramon made sure all safety measures were in place, and overall we enjoyed everything about the trip/tour. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I did a tour along with my sister and her boyfriend. IT WAS AWESEOME! We went the Saturday after New Years, 1-2-21. Russel was excellent! He was very patient with our (well my) learning curve of the Segway and took us to some very interesting historical places in Ybor City. I grew up in Clearwater and had been to Ybor City a few times in my lifetime and never new the history. Russell made it interesting and fun! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Learning about the cigar industry of Ybor city was one of my favorite parts. This included the homes that were built for the cigar workers. Be sure to listen as to why the houses for the workers were built raised. Also, the different nationalities had their own culture clubs. Imagine, dancing the night away with your fellow Cubanos. I would definitely recommend Russell 's tour! This is my 5th Segway tour.

This was a fantastic and fun tour of Ybor City!! I did this tour with my husband and 2 teenagers, and we all loved it. Russell was very thorough with safety explanations to start off with. Then we got a great history lesson as we toured the city, and Russell kept it interesting. The tour included great pics which we received a few days later. We also appreciated the water bottle that was provided--it was hot that day! He pointed out a few good lunch and coffee spots along the way, and we had the best BBQ lunch after the tour thanks to his recommendation. We have taken other segway tours in other cities and this is by far the best we have been on!!!

I highly recommend this tour. What a fun way to spend a few hours away from downtown, and far cooler than a walking tour! After living near DC for 5 years, I always thought of segway tours as the annoying groups buzzing around the monuments with blinking lights on their helmets like glow in the dark tourist-aliens. In this case (or at least this location) I was wrong.
The "office" is easy to find by taking the street car from downtown. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the area - worth arriving early or hanging around after your tour.
The tour itself starts with 15-20 minutes of instruction/practice on your segway and another few minutes of practice before you head onto the streets. From there, following the guide is easy and fun. The tour is about 1.75 hours including stops along the way for photos, and info on landmarks and the Ybor (EEE-bohr) City.
Recommendations:
1. Book early if you are eager for a specific time or have more than two people in your party. Payment in advance is needed for your reservation. Reservations can be made online or by phone.
2. Public restrooms are nearby. Go before your instruction time begins.
3. Remember your sunscreen and dress for the weather. There is only so much shade.
4. Small satchel-like bags are on the segways - perfect for a wallet, small bag, or bottle of water.
5. Don't be shy to call and ask questions ahead of time. Russell and Kristy were helpful and really nice.
6. Coupons may be available in the various tourist guides around town.

This is a small business run by a young couple that have really thought things through. Russell and Kristy begin with teaching you to safely ride a Segway. They are both very nice and focused on keeping everyone safe while having fun and learning the history of the area. When you master the basics, they get you out to practice and see the sights in Ybor. The Segway is a great way to tour the area and they are a lot of fun to ride. I recommend combining a tour with dinner at one of the local restaurants that specialize in the famous Cuban pressed sandwiches which were invented in Ybor. If you are staying in Tampa, the Teco Streetcar is a great way to get to Ybor. It drops you off right in front of Electric Glide Tours. What a nice way to spend a day in Yampa.

My husband and I had a GREAT time! This was our first time on a Segway so we really appreciated the time Russel and his wife spent instructing all of us. They had a lot of quirky stories that they shared about Ybor which made it very interesting. We highly, highly recommend this company and this tour.

One of the BEST tours in the Tampa Bay Area. Excellent guide, great equipment and overall best time. You will be missing out if you don’t take this tour!!!

Born and raised in Two Rivers I thought I knew it all, well Russell knows so much more. Our Segway tour was great fun and the experience of learning to ride a Segway is made easy with Russell's instructions and watchful eye. Riding through the park trails, then down the beach area and a stop at Washington House made for a delightful afternoon with one of my best buddies. Just a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours, will definitely do it again!!!

First time riding a Segway. Our department sponsored an outing that was billed as a truly unique experience. The folks that run the tour did a great job training everyone with an emphasis on safety. They really know what they're doing.
The tour guided us through Ybor City where we learned much about the history of the area. (No spoilers!). Highly recommended for a family or group outing.

what's the youngest age allowed to use Segway?

Thank you for the question. It's more about size & weight than age. A human being needs to be 54 inches or taller and weigh between 100 and 260 pounds. I hope that helps.
