Lovely upscale retail and restaurant area located in the heart of Hyde Park. There’s a variety of shopping, cuisines, and free parking in a garage. There are a number of restaurants who offer indoor and outdoor seating. Bayshore Drive is approximately a 15-minute walk from where you can enjoy beautiful views of Tampa Bay, take a leisure walk, and enjoy the skyline.

Lots of cool eateries and the folks shopping and eating were super friendly. We stopped in to goody goody for ice cream and shopped in lulu lemon as well. This area is chock full of young people with lots of stores that fit that narrative. Clean and well kept.

We live in Brandon, so we never think about coming to Hyde Park. But I think we will come back. First, how nice to have a complimentary free parking! Second, it's just a wonderful place to walk, stroll, relax, shop, people watch, ... oh, and eat and drink.
We were here on a Saturday night in January, and it was just lovely. We arrived before 5:30pm, had dinner at the Wine Exchange, then dessert at Sprinkles, then walked around. We were there for more than 3 hours.

I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon I spent at Hyde park Village on my recent trip to Clearwater Beach. The area has beautiful fountains and lots of people shopping with their doggies. Parking was free in the parking garage.
We ate at Forbici for lunch and really enjoyed their salads. We sat outside and faced the street which had constant traffic. It was fun to watch the cars go by!
It was difficult to locate the public washrooms.
There was a good mix of shops.
I wish we had time on our trip to visit again.

On our way back from the Ballast point park, while driving the beautiful Bayshore blvd we decided to turn left to drive through this upscale neighborhood.
Passing many nice homes, we came upon this outside shopping mall. There was free parking what surprised me, so we took a short walk around.
The place is nice, with a central fountain, many higher end design stores as well cafes and restaurants, both on pricey side. Didn't shop nor eat, but enjoyed an hour walking around.

If you like boutiques you will find several here. We also walked around to look at the homes. There is a walkway through the historic cottages that is enjoyable. The homes are well cared for. Ate at Goody Goody at the shopping center.

Old Hyde Park Village is a great place to go to enjoy the outdoors, to peruse some shops, to have a cup of coffee or a great meal, and to enjoy the best ambiance Tampa has to offer! The atmosphere is small-town, so you don't get the retail overkill that you get at the International Mall. Old Hyde Park Village is a much more relaxed shopping destination -- all of the pleasure and none of the pain!

We were told that this was a lovely lunching area - full of restaurants and boutiques. It is lovely, but almost deserted. We found about 3 or 4 restaurants, a few boutiques and lots and lots of empty storefronts. It may have been a destination at one time, but now, it's a short walk and maybe a quick bite.

If you visit Old Hyde Park Village you will not find it as entertaining or charming as it once was back in the late 80's early 90's. This area is a collection of shops, boutiques and restaurants nestled in a historic part of south Tampa. OR at least it used to be.
The multiplex AMC theatre closed down a few years ago. The central square with its fountain is still there and a relaxing place to rest or eat a snack. The restaurants come and go quickly here and none have stayed in business longer than 3 or 4 years. Currently, Timpano's is here and features italian-american quisine along with a loud martini bar. There is a smoothie shop in another area as well as a coffee house ala Starbucks.
Upscale shopping is sparse and the 3 biggest stores are chains - Brooks Brothers, Pottery Barn (& Pottery Barn Kids) as well as a Tommy Bahama boutique. A health club "Lifestyles Family Fitness" is here as well. There are 3 parking garages here, so parking is somewhat abundant. During the summer there are beer fests once a month where 20 and 30 somethings from the south Tampa area go to "get their drunk on". There are still annual art festivals held in the area as well as some Christmas season festivities.
This shopping area seems to keep losing tenants either due to skyrocketing leases or lack of clientele. I would suggest that if you are in the area, you may want to wander through on foot if you have nothing better to do. If you're in the mood for shopping or dining, I would look elsewhere in Tampa.

Quite impressed with this shopping area. It was clean, chic, and peaceful.
Stores like anthropologie and pottery barn kids amongst small boutiques make this a quaint area to hang around.
Restaurants were busy during prime time. Great to sit outside with your pet.
Like a little charming town within Tampa.
There was a free parking structure, where you park and walk down a tree lined street.
Really, really nice!

There is free parking behind CineBistro and it is maneuverable in a wheelchair to the sidewalk. No sweat...enjoy your flick!
