When driving and crossing this Bridge it doesn't seem as tall as it actually is. It's 430 feet high. And 1.1 Miles in Length, 94 feet wide. I read that The Travel Channel rated it #3 in it's special on the "Top 10 Bridges" in the world.

Make sure you take time out to drive the bridge and see the sights of the entire area. It is much more beautiful than I initially imagined.

Going north or south on i-275 You can take exits to the north/south fishing piers before going on to the skyway bridge, these are the left over old bridge roadways that are currently used for fishing. You can get a daily pass for entry/fishing for the carload of people even if you don't have regular fishing permit in the state... More

When you want to cast in the deep but lack a boat, then head over to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Even if you are not a fan of fishing, this bridge is an amazing place. From tragedy rose this iconic landmark. Many come here to spend the night fishing on the old bridge and I have actually caught snook (in-season... More

Love this bridge. It is so clean and contemporary looking every year. The thrill is when you get to the top and can see all of Tampa Bay and to the Gulf of Mexico. It closes in high winds. A memorable experience of travel.

Beautiful deep water bridge over the mouth of TampaBay. Nice places to stop for scenic pictures on both sides of the bridge. Tip for those who have height or deep water bridge phobias...breathe deeply and drive on the interior lanes and keep your focus forward on the vehicle directly ahead of you.

This is a place to take a picture from afar. It is just a very high bridge which the cruise ships pass under at the Tampa Bay mouth. There is no place to stop. It is just a fast pass by, just a bridge over water. You need to pay toll to drive over. It is good if you are... More

It's a impressive bridge but that's all the bang your gonna get. There is a place at the St Pete side called C-Ponies and you can ride in the ocean ! Give them a call that's worth doing! One of those buckets list things you just got to do. I did it with a girl friend and would do it... More

Awesome bridge to go over once and a while. It is a very pretty skyline view when you are driving over, a little scary at first.
