Do you see yourself looking over the vast Serengeti plains, searching the horizon for a glimpse of a pride of Lions, or a Leopard lounging in the trees? Do you imagine yourself in India, riding an elephant through the high grass with your eyes peeled for the elusive Tiger? This is an opportunity for anyone that cares about cats in general. BCR does a wonderful job of rescuing abused, neglected and aged felines. The staff and volunteers are caring and friendly. It takes money to operate a place like this so to me it is worth the visit to see these cats that can live out there days being... More

The volunteers at bcr are amazing! The cats are well taken care of. From feeding, getting medical attention & making sure that the cats are never bored or stressed, they do it all. My boyfriend & I took the day tour & was very impressed on how much our guide knew about the cats. They had volunteers going around cleaning... More

One of my favorite nonprofits I support by far. Worth every penny. If you love animals, or at least learning about them and their welfare, I highly recommend booking a visit with Big Cat Rescue if you plan to visit Tampa, FL.

Worth the feeding experience. We learned why it is better for the cats not to have any contact with humans. It is a well organized tour. Very professional.

I wasn't very excited about my visit because most of the cats sleep a lot!!there are many volunteers working there, which is impressive. Hard to believe this exists in the middle of a city.

My friend and I did the Keeper tour and it was worth every penny! They let you take your time taking pictures, tell you the story of where each cat came from, they educate you on each animal and how we can help stop people from being able to have these wild animals as pets. They are not only saving... More

My wife and I are involve in an animal project in Kenya and we wanted to see why people were so enthusiasm about the big cat rescue center and they call them self a sanctuary when it’s a pitty to watch. The lady was saying that the population of wild tigers was 25 000 and I told her max 5000... More

I really enjoyed my time at the Big Cat Rescue. I am slightly obsessed with anything and everything feline. My fiance surprised me with a visit. All of the cats enclosures seem big enough and provide the kitties with trees, bushes, and places to hide. Most of the cats did not appear stressed despite being in captivity. I loved the... More
