Go during the day time and a lot of the restaurants, bars and shops are closed. This is more of a night life area where people party hard and with that comes crowds and drunks. New Orleans French Quarter with a Cuban twist.

This place has it all. Great restaurants, cigar bars/lounges, movie theatre, clubs, coffee shops, bruncheries, etc. etc. During the morning and day time hours it's perfect for families with children. If you have kids don't come on the weekend after dark. Lots of young clubbers, loud music, etc. But during the day it is so amazingly beautiful and charming. Lots... More

Interesting area to visit but a bit seedy in places. Walked down 7th ave on a Saturday night, lots of noise and people having fun but some odd people around a fair amount of police around which was reassuring in a way but also I think indicative of the area. Also went there in the day time off the Trolley... More

In Tampa for business and looking for an evenings outing. Ybor City provided a fantastic Cuban meal with a choice of restaurants .We enjoyed strolling the neighborhood after dinner. The cultural experience of Cuba without a passport.

This historic district is full of clubs, great for a night out with your friends. Tons of restaurants and in some parts a little sketchy. Don't think there is anything else to see during daylight. Overall good for partying..nothing else.

I haven't lived in Tampa for 5 years and kind of forgot what exactly was in Ybor City – not much besides bars and a few restaurants. You'll also find old architecture, cobbled streets and wild chickens. For some reason I thought there were shops, but not really. I brought guests here after we’d eaten so it was kind of... More

Unless you were going to drink, you could skip this stop. I really didn't find much to do with children. I did see a movie theater, but we weren't looking for a movie. I had 3 young children while the parents went to have a beer in the beer garden, but there was nothing for them and there were some... More
