Small but nice place for kids
Nice aquarium in downtown, but not many exhibits. I rate in average mainly because of quantity of exhibits. Also they could have had more educational stalls.
Try to find parking on street. Their parking is $10.

It was nice to visit the aquarium, but the amount of people made it difficult to enjoy anything, especially for $30+/person!

For the price I think they should have something I that ready we can say WOA, but really there were nothing that attract me, there were more fish, they should go and see the aquarium at Orlando, that one really is worth seen it.

Enjoyable

All the employees from the parking lot to the cafe were great! I was greeted by each of them when walking around. The aquarium is not that big, so the price seemed a bit high for the experience. It only took me an hour to get through it all, but still enjoyable. Masks are not required, but appreciated most guests and employees were wearing them.

Average aquarium, pay parking

I'm probably spoiled. I grew up is Cali and regularly visited the Steinhart Aquarium and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I've also been to the aquarium in Singapore and Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach.

Tampa Bay Aquarium, by contrast, is small. Its about the same size as Ripley's. A portion of the aquarium is dedicated to reptiles and another portion to Madagascar. Interesting exhibits but it does reduce the number of typical aquarium exhibits you encounter.

Water is some of the reef exhibits was murky versus crystal clear and I found that odd.

A turnoff versus other aquariums I've visited is you must pay for parking. That's an extra $10 atop an already somewhat expensive $40 per person adult ticket. Depending on family size it can get pretty expensive for an activity that most will complete in 60 - 90 minutes.

Perfect Place to Visit on a Rainy Day
Aug 2021 • Family
We have been coming to this aquarium for 12 years! If that doesn’t speak to its excellence then I don’t know what does! They have plenty of hands-on experience while still following Covid-19 procedures. You can touch jellyfish, sting rays, sea stars and more. The giant reef tank is always a favorite because there are sharks inside. You can grab a bite to eat in their outdoor cafe or bring some swim suits for the little ones because they do have an outdoor splash pad and playground area, complete with changing rooms. Parking is $10 but it is easy to find a spot to park and then from there it is a 5 minute walk to the aquarium’s entrance. If you have a rainy day in The Tampa area be sure to visit this treasure!

Wonderful Day at the Aquarium

We really enjoyed looking at the sea life! There were no shows going on though. Had a great time even though it was raining! The employees were friendly and ready to assist.

Good aquarium. Not as big a I expected and very crowded but still plenty to enjoy. Kids loved it. Cute splash pad when you are done!
