On a early light cold day trying to get to the Busch Gardens parking area is a challenge. Either Busch Gardens personnel or local police have to direct and assist with the traffic to the parks including SeaWorld at Orlando. Sea world desperately needs this...More

Attended with 11 family members on a Sunday late afternoon/evening. Lots of kids activities. Lights were fabulous all over the park. One area they’ve had in the past was done away with since there is construction on a new attraction. Not too crowded and weather...More

Picked a bad day to come. Picked a Friday because the park had longer hours then and wanted to see the Christmas shows, decorations, and lights. Did not know it but when you ride the free shuttle from Orlando, you are not given much time...More

We had an awesome time and enjoyed the entertainment at Christmas Town. Busch Gardens offers a great time to get in the Christmas spirit.

Went to Christmas Town at Busch Gardens and had a great family time. There was plenty to do with young children. We got to go into Santa's house and meet him, the elves, and Mrs Claus. The house was very well decorated with a lot...More

We had such a great trip to Busch Gardens. We had never been! You can tell that the park itself is on the older side, but it sure didn’t appear like it. They have kept up on maintenance. I was worried that there would not...More

Yes there are more theme parks in Orlando, but Busch Gardens is a great place to go on a safari. This place is more of a cross between a zoo and a theme park.

The trip to Busch Gardens stands out as exciting. The energy can see saw primarily ,because of the large crowds in the park. The lines are long, so make sure you have your food and drink tickets if you have them. The park has many...More

Discovery Cove Ultimate Upgrade questions (2 Replies)
Hi folks, I just sent the questions below to the Discovery Cove, but I'd love to hear from fellow travelers as well. All your replies are very much appreciated! We are thinking of doing a Seaworld-only trip since Discovery Cover Ultimate Upgrade seems like a great value (and we've done Disney and Universal already a few years ago) 1. Does the Ultimate Upgrade it include admission to the Adventure Island park in Tampa? 2. Is there a limit on number of days you can visit Busch Gardens,...More

Parking would be free for the same 14 day period. No Adventure Island Busch Gardens currently has buy a Fun Card get Adventure Island Fun Card for free. You could compare this to the upgrade cost...but will lose free parking this way. Buy 1 day for Adventure Island Buy 1 day or annual pass for Disney Water Parks Stick with Aquatica which is included

Busch Gardens and a beach (6 Replies)
We're staying in Orlando for a week in May and we have tickets for Busch Gardens. We were hoping to be at the park for opening. Do all the coasters and maybe the safari then head to a beach for a stroll in the afternoon. Am I hoping for too much? Is this doable? I was thinking Clearwater beach?

I think that it is a little too ambitious. Opening hours start at 10 am. There are music shows and animal exhibits. The beach is about 40 minutes in the afternoon traffic. You may try to get there for sunset and a drink.

Favorites - Must see & Do (6 Replies)
We are leaving Friday for Lido Key - so excited? It will be my husband, my 14 year old daughter and a friend of hers. Does anyone have favorite places to eat, things to do, must sees, etc. We may do a day trip to Tampa to Busch Gardens or the water park, but other than that no real plans other than fun in the sun!

Why not take a drive south to Myakka River State Park. Its the oldest state park in Florida and has alot of neat stuff to do. Air Boat Ride, a Canopy Walk, scenic drive, bike and kayak rentals etc. There will be lots of opportunity for wildlife viewing alligators, birds, wild boar. Its not too far from where you'll be and the girls will enjoy it too. You can look at the website for all the info and directions.
