Airboat captain living in the Florida Everglades I am retired and now live deep in the Everglades of Florida in a cabin nestled within a “tree island”. My airboat rides include a 30-35 mile ride with many Everglades sightings.

Gerald is an amazing guide and gentleman. A true conservation advocate and a very nice man. He picked up our party of 8 right on time and gave us a fantastic tour including his own home. The weather wasn’t great but we had a great time. We did the 2 hour tour, saw some wildlife, learned about the animals in the Everglades and the history of them.

The people there are very friendly and kind. Your getting your moneys worth out of the trip. The Captain is the best and knows the best spots in the Everglades. Would highly recommend it.

Great trip. Captain Gerald is super knowledgeable, know the terrain and the history and his passion comes through. Marvelous trip that my entire family enjoyed.

What an incredibly delightful, authentic and truly "Old Florida" experience this was with Captain Gerald on his airboat in the Everglades. Where does one start on how absolutely perfect this tour is...
The thrill of gliding across the shallow clear waters on a sunny Florida day; sliding around a bend in the tall sawgrass to the (mutual) surprise of a sunning alligator; navigating through the thin channels of grass and cypress sloughs with flocks of birds flying eye-level alongside you; visiting "Old Glory," the captain's self-built 3-level homestead on an island in the middle of the glades; hearing Captain Gerald's accounts of life in the Everglades; his turtle rescue and release project; It's authentic, it's rare and it's a life not many people live or ever get a chance to see these days.
With Captain Gerald we got to peek into it and left wanting more. Highly recommend for those who would enjoy an immersive and engaging look into the real Florida Everglades and a chance to meet a true Gladesman!

We have wanted to do an airboat excursion for years. My husband did a lot of research and found Captain Gerald and he was such an incredible guide! Very knowledgeable about the Everglades, wildlife, history of the area, etc. We loved that we were able to tour his house in the middle of the Everglades and see how he actually lives.
If you’re wanting an unforgettable experience we highly recommend him!! You can tell that he truly loves what he does and cares about the Everglades.

Captain Gerald is absolutely amazing. Been on a trip last November with family, went again with other family. Anytime family comes to visit and they want to see the Everglades... Captain Gerald is our man. So knowledgeable of the birds, turtles, gators and more. He is the real thing, great stories and it is his life. Truly the real deal.

We have done the airboat tour of the Everglades tour a few times in the past but this was BY FAR the best yet! Captain Gerald is a part of the Everglades and he invites you to see his world. Lots of wild life and lots of excitement…we and our teens loved it! He is knowledgeable, has great stories and is just plain awesome!

What a great tour! Absolutely beautiful and saw a few gators! Very knowledgeable of the area and its species as well as history. Priced a bit higher than the many others around, but well worth it to be just our group and have all our questions answered. Highly highly recommend.

Capt. Gerald was great. There is a real authenticity about him, his home and his tour. The scenery was great and the wild life majestic. We all enjoyed the experience.

We visited captain Gerald he was absolutely brilliant my wife is in a wheelchair and his boat has a ramp to get wheelchair on boat
