The Governor's Mansion is a perfect example of old style FLorida architecture at its best. It exudes elegance and evokes memories of a past replete with glory, nostalgia and embarrassment . Although tastefully treated, one is reminded of the suppression and oppression that is a...More

We came by and the mansion is lovely from the outside, however you must call and make an appointment to have a tour inside. The outside garden is also locked. So can can look, but that's it.

The tourguide was enormously knowledgeable about Florida history and everything about the mansion. It is a beautiful, elegant and comfortable home built in 1956, but looks much older in its stately appearance--pun intended!

The Florida Governor's Mansion is available for touring - by appointment only. You will see the five over-sized public rooms. The décor is gracious - and, understated - although The Mansion is filled with treasures. It is truly "the people's house." Doing this is a...More
