I'm assuming this review is about the New Building which from the distance-- thanks to some architectural design joke of a flaw--looks like a certain part of the male anatomy. It is stupifingly boring. An unintentional paean to idiocy in design. The old Capitol Building, however, is gorgeous. You walk into that building and you find yourself in the middle... More

Had some business here, the new part is just a big old building but there is a great view of the area from top floor.

We loved the visit to the top of this building where sites were marked for you to pick them out in the distance. They had a nice photo exhibit too. The legislative area was underwhelming and closed off except to see through the glass walls. Plenty of marble inside this building. Too bad they don't have a very pretty outside... More

In an otherwise nondescript tower and office building, the view from the observation center of Tallahassee is incredible

Though only certain elevators get you there, take the elevator to the 22nd floor for a view "as far as the eye can see" of Tallahasse and its environs. The building is so tall that it not only dwarfs the next door old Capitol, but you can't see it looking down from the 22nd floor. The 5th floor provides access... More

It was pretty great to go inside and see where my home state's government works. There really wasn't anything for a visitor to do except see the observation tower on the 22nd (top) floor and see where Florida's government works so I wouldn't recommend visiting the capitol with children.

At the top of the Capitol, there is usually an art exhibition to see, as well as giant, continuous windows all around (with photomaps generally explaining what you are seeing). I don't get tired of going up there!

I was killing time driving around Tallahassee and decided to see the Capitol building.... it's pretty cool to look at and imagine the engineering and building that went into this place... I love to see different varieties of architecture wherever and whenever I travel!!! It's worth the drive to see and appreciate its genesis.
