Nestled within 52 acres of flora and fauna, the Tallahassee Museum is an oasis close to the heart of downtown. The Tallahassee Museum features a working 1880s pioneer farmstead, native Florida wildlife habitat (including panthers and red wolves), cypress swamp, Jim Gary's 20th Century Dinosaurs, and the all new Tallahassee Tree to Tree Adventures (an outdoor zip line and adventure course for kids and adults). Come enjoy the great outdoors with us at the Tallahassee Museum- where nature, history, science, and fun come together!

Lots to see. Could use more signage in some areas. Many of the animals sleeping I guess as we're not visible, probably the time of day as mid afternoon and hot. Zip lines looked like they would be fun for those who like them. Dinosaurs are from car parts were neat.

My daughter and I spent several hours walking the paths and seeing the animals. We got up our courage to do the zip line course and it was great fun!

This is more like a small zoo with everything outside. Not worth the money as there are very few animals. Saw everything in 45 min. Don't bother.

This is not a typical museum. It is more like a historical zoo. Fantastic outdoor scenic pathways wind around what is ecologically typical for Florida. You pass large spaces for different kinds of animals, birds and reptiles found in Florida. There are fun colorful dinosaurs planted along some of the pathway, making it very kid friendly. There are displays of... More

This is an outdoor place with "some of this" and "some of that." Many of the animals were nowhere to be seen, including the visiting otters. You can give this another star if you have kids. It just seemed like a high price for little to see.

Great museum/zoo. We had a blast with our grandchildren. There is a cafe and a playground too. They have added a zip linE for older kids and adults (extra charge). We ended up buying an annual pass that admits 6 ($100)

Great place to go with your family. They have a wide range of animals and cool exhibits, which are even better when people are working them...like making cookies as they would in the 1800's, etc. They also offer zip lining which is a blast. They even have a smaller trail for the little ones.

Great zip lining for all ages! Lots of farm & village buildings to check out and various wild Florida animals, snakes and other reptiles. Also - be sure to check out the many colorful metal dinasaurs scattered througout this outside museum, There are many special events throughout the year to visit. Worth seeing!

We love the tallahassee museum so much that we have been members for years. There is more than enough to see and do to fill a whole day. My kids love the playground and they even have a ropes course that a child as young as 4 could complete. We always take out of town family here to meet some... More
