Nestled within 52 acres of flora and fauna, the Tallahassee Museum is an oasis close to the heart of downtown. The Tallahassee Museum features a working 1880s pioneer farmstead, native Florida wildlife habitat (including panthers and red wolves), cypress swamp, Jim Gary's 20th Century Dinosaurs, and the all new Tallahassee Tree to Tree Adventures (an outdoor zip line and adventure course for kids and adults). Come enjoy the great outdoors with us at the Tallahassee Museum- where nature, history, science, and fun come together!

I have taken my kids here many times over the years and we always have a great time. They have different guest animals throughout the year, and we love seeing the wolves and panthers. They also have a nice café, gift shop, and playground. This is definitely a great place for any family with kids young and old.

The weather was beautiful so we decided to check out the Tallahassee museum with my daughter and her roommate. We enjoyed walking around the historic buildings and seeing the animals. Would be nice to have people in period clothing explaining how things were done back then. There were several men at the blacksmith area but I think they were there... More

Well, it's not really a museum, it's more a zoo, though one with a zip line, a tree-top trail, and historical exhibits. It's great for kids and nice for grown ups too.

Spent about 2 hours here with the husband and 2 boys (8 and 12). Lots of history, room to roam and play. Enjoyed the boardwalks and metal dinosaurs. Kids loved the playground. The café has a good selection of food (4 of ate for $33).

Just went today and it was absolutely gorgeous outside. We got there right when it open so all of the animals were very active. Staff and animals are so wonderful! Refreshing to see a zoo in this type of natural environment.

Let's face it. Tallahassee doesn't have much for entertainment compared to other cities of it's size. The Tallahassee Museum has long been a favorite of my family and friends. When I was a kid, it was called the Junior Museum and that's what locals still call it. They've done a great job of keeping the past alive with old buildings... More

From wild animals to farm animals, it's like a stroll in a park with interesting sights to view along the way. My toddler is a fan of dinosaurs and he admires the auto part handmade dino statues along the path. There is a nice little eatery by the play area with picnic tables for outdoor eating while watching the young... More

My family loves coming here, whether to see the traveling animal exhibit or participate in the various hands on experiences. The addition of the zip line experience is a hit with the kids.

My family and I go to Tallahassee Museum every month or two. It's a blast walking around looking at the animals and playing at the playground.
